2019, think imperial blue has always been around, definitely a lot darker than Mediterranean blue. Brand new car, pick up yesterday hence for the great shine, time for me to keep it up afterward I suppose...

I have Mediterranean blue. This must be one of the color choices I lost by getting the M Sport Package. I love my blue but this is really nice. Don't know why they take colors away for adding Sport Package. Good Luck

I think the closest "M" option to imperial blue is probably carbon black? Though based on the sample (was a X5) I look at, carbon black is really just black unless direct sunlight, then it's a bit "dark blue"

So I'm really digging the Alpina display mode with the matching blue/blue ambient lighting and radar detector mute button. Can you guess my favorite color? The answer to that question is another reason why I chose carbon black metallic paint. It looks blue under sunlight.

Any downsides to Alpina display?

Only the best music! Once you're in the the navigation app, there are those 7 icons on the left side of the screen. I can't remember which one it is, but I think it's one the last two. There there's an option to change to one of the 3 views, mine being the 3D view. Here is a video on YouTube that will show you how to change it. Not sure why it's not with the rest of the NAV options.

No issues with Alpina mode! The speed does not need to be calibrated and is exactly the same as it was before I changed it. I tested it and compared it with the GPS reading on my radar detector. Since the Alpina speedo goes to 200 mph, about 1/3 of the higher-end speed is wasted real estate. In other words, your normal speeds won't move the needle as much as it did before. This is not an issue for me though since I also enabled all of the digital speedo settings with BimmerCode. Please let me know if you have any more questions! I love the changes!

Wow, what shine! I've gone for the Imperial Blue and it looks amazing in bright sunshine, hope I don't find it too dark on cloudy days though. Will have to wait and see now, no going back
