That is interesting, I wonder why they'd change the radiator config between the markets. Maybe because some parts of the US can get very hot?

In any case, I ordered the main radiator rock guard.

I left my electrics plugged in behind. The motor still spins round but nothing is attached to it. Leaving it plugged in also stops you getting an EML on the dash

Custom/Home-Made G30 Arch Guards...

After trying to find some online/speaking to various companies and not getting anywhere, It was time to go DIY and make some myself. Not bad for a first attempt... I did think about getting some for a different model and making some modifications but it turned out more cost effective to start from scratch.

BMW mudflaps were an option but I don't like the way they sit and look on the side of the car. I wanted something a little more discreet.

I was able to utilise and secure them using the OEM clip and bolt holes too! Safe to say they were doing the job after the first drive out. Normally that muck/dirt would of been all down the side sill.

Rear ones coming soon...

How did you remove the plastic rivet by the air vent?
I have to add that narrow portion to mine (pics at the bottom of https://g30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1577980). It will help keep the splashes off the door
I'm looking forward to what you come up with for the rear ones!

In the middle of the rivet, you'll see a small circle. You need to push that with something sharp and that will fall out and release the rivet.
They are quite cheap to buy from the dealer, They sold me a pack of 16 for around £2.00 or so

Full Turbo Heatshield

Osprey Performance v2 B58 Gen 1 - Full Turbo Heatshield fitted. This replaces the OEM one and also the bolt on v1 shield that I had from Opsrey, before.

This new one is thicker and more rigid. It should help with keeping the turbo heat away from the Intake, HPFP and other parts of the engine... I'm all for trying things that aid in keeping the engine bay that little bit cooler - 😏

Also, makes that area look nicer and clean

Hey Paul,

Looks to be the same one... Not sure what the Bosch part number is on mine but the BMW part number is 13518631642

I paid around £380 last June for the TU Pump, it had the BMW part number on it. The specialist who fitted the pump was able to turn the plug around so no additonal wiring harness was needed.

He also supplied, gapped to 0.022 and fitted the TU Spark Plugs for me.

I can check and see if I can find any bosch part numbers. Will let you know tomorrow. They suggest when running over stock power to decrease the spark plug tip gap to 0.022". Dome say and run the stock gap but this is what was recommended and went with it. No issues so far.

It's RS Automotive, whos stand I'll be on... He'll be there to chat to on the day.
