Any white G30 owners (bonus if it's M550) who have wrapped the roof to black?

I am not one, but a lot of people do this and in my opinion, it is a must do on an alpine or mineral white G30. Looks really sharp like it was meant to be that way from the factory.

I have the CS CF Spoiler. It will go in the same place as the stock lip spoiler, but it will cover more, so keep this in mind if you are worried about the wrap, it could cover some edge blemishes. I assume your wrap guy went around it. If so, it will come off easy with some fishing line, but getting the adhesive off without hitting the wrap with the adhesive removal wheel can be challenging, but do-able with a steady hand.

My $0.02 cents, I don't think the black trunk is a great idea. Also, my overall comment, know when to stop before heading into ricer territory. Car looks good, not for everyone, but certainly an eye catcher.
Tha calipers are painted yellow. The spoiler I have sits farther back then the stock spoiler. I’ll show a pic of what I mean. I love the CF spoiler but the only way to make it work on my car would be wrapping the top of the trunk black (not the entire trunk, just right up to the front of the spoiler).

See the pic below. The green was done awhile back and color matching would be nearly impossible due to wrap age + AZ sun. So the only way to get the spoiler I bought to work is black trunk. When they wrapped the stock spoiler they took it off the car and then glued it back down and made a cut with the spoiler on the vehicle so there’s a deep groove at the front edge of the tar seen in the pic.

I know what you mean about ricer territory and I do not wish to end up there. Have gotten only positive feedback from those who have seen it in person.

From the threads I have read, the biggest challenge is deciding what to do with the shark fin. Leave it white or wrap it and I don't think it is easy to wrap. I also hear the covers or overlays they sell on ebay may interfere with reception.

I also think the black lip OEM spoiler compliments the black roof on a White G30.

Just so you’re aware taking off the shark fin is a pretty big job. You have to drop the entire headliner and deal with all the harnesses and wires. I thought it was a simple pop off but apparently it’s much more involved. This is the reason I left mine green on my gloss black roof.

Also, look’s like you are going with the Pro and that does sit on the edge. The CS which I have sits where the stock one does. Just an option.

Also what exhaust are you running? That’s coming next. Intake and exhaust. Got some ideas for both but always open to suggestions.

Can you show me a top down view of the front / side of the spoiler. Trying to see if it’ll cover the cut / the stock spoiler perfectly.

Thank you in advance for all your help.

This site won’t let me link to RW Carbon. Head over there. It’s the one labeled CS. They also have the Pro which is slightly more wing ish and mounts to the edge of the trunk. It’s also supposed to permanently glued on with special glue. This helped me decide on the CS that only requires 3M tape.

Gunna look now. I’m literally at the wrap shop about to drive my car into the bay. Deciding if I wanna do the top of trunk black and put on the current spoiler or wait and order a different one that mounts on stock location.

If it helps, it’s really hard to tell the difference between the two. The Pro has a slightly different angle and mounts on the edge. Like a duck bill.

I take that back. The 530 is slow asf. I turned the A/C on today on my way to pick my car up and the damn thing wouldn't move when I'd push down on the accelerate.

I'll stick with a 6 cylinder. I got 30 MPG in the 530. I get about 27 MPG in the 540. I drove the 530 like I stole it though.

On the other hand, I went to pick up my 540 and there was Hella brake dust built up on the front wheels. I gave them the car clean. Wondering if the tech. Braked the hell out of the car or something during the 1 mile test drive route. Wheels are ceramic coated and have never been this dirty since I've owned the car.

I don’t know about the spoiler but the top down view in your avatar picture really makes it hard to read your posts

Finally bit the bullet and had my windshield replaced. Had been living with a bullseye impact for about a year but a recent chip expanded to well over a foot long while parked at work.

Used a 3rd party but all BMW parts. I actually gave them the quote from my SA and they bought all the parts direct from the dealer (rain sensor, sound insulation strips, etc). $100 deductible only cost.

I'm on the fence about retinting it. There's so much electronics in the cowl area and the amount of water they use to apply tint is immense- even with an absorbent rope wedged in there. The tint did have an odd bonus if making the HUD ridiculously bright and sharp. Will have to see if I miss that and if the car gets crazy hot.

Sorry, missed this yesterday. Here’s some pics I took shortly after installing. I think the last picture in my garage I hadn't 3M attached it yet.

I’m glad I tinted mine but I can see your hesitation. My wife won’t go without it anymore, so I did redo her window film on the windshield when we had to replace it because of a big rock chip. Insurance did cover the tint, also, included in the $100 glass deductible.
