I have seen that more than a few times on forums and groups. I think it will resolve itself after the car goes to sleep and wakes up, but yeah, you could pull the battery now and resolve it.

I'm at work or I would've pulled the negative cable off.

Ha, if it’s got tits or wheels it’s trouble.

Yeah as you said, disconnect the battery for 5 or so minutes, connect it back up & the dash should reset

I'll try that. If it happens again, I'm burning this car. 35k miles and already stupid issues. My local BMW dealership doesn't have any loaners which pisses me off also.

Search the forum. I know I’ve read about this issue from others.

Looks like it's a common issue. Walked back In the car and everything is centered. We'll see if it goes out of wack when I drive home tonight.

I'm pretty sure the permanent fix requires a software update. There's a bulletin out there somewhere.

Probably not worth the added cost. But a 550…

Hand washed at the self service car wash. I’m that guy that goes at midnight-3am and brings all my own equipment, I just use their pressure washer.

If anyone needs some help or guidance on DIY car detailing products or equipment I’d be happy to share the knowledge I have. Over the past few months I’ve spend thousands of dollars testing different products and tools trying to figure out the best and most efficient way to wash my car at least once per week.

Buddy, you’re in the right place. Whatever you wanna talk about, go for it. We can talk wheels, tires, interior, leather, shampoo, ceramic coating, drying aid, you name it.

I’ve got a ceramic coating (ceramic pro) and like to us CarPro Reset shampoo. I like to dry with a combo of an ego blower and a Gauntlet towel from The Rag Company. I’ll use the smaller gauntlet size to dry the wheels.

I use Adam’s VRT on the tires. It’s a poor man’s CarPro Perl. Water based, lasts over a week, and doesn’t sling unless you really overdo it.

I’ve been using Hydrosilex interior cleaner. It works very well. I go back over glossy surfaces with Meguiars shine and protect. I may eventually use a coating product on those glossy interior surfaces. That product works well to get any scuffs out of leather but typically I use Chemical Guys leather cleaner and a brush and/or microfiber towel. I like to go back over the seats and dash with Duragloss (tip from Joe-BMW33

On the all weather mats I will just use dish soap and a tire brush.

Did I miss anything???

Totally agree! Funny, I had a pretty sweet 550 that was a total Dinan car (stage 4) and I wanted more sound, so I drove Maseratis for a few years!!

I am enjoying the 540 as a daily driver with some pep!
