I’ll post them as I see them. I’ve yet to see a G30 listed. Too new and not exotic enough. I’ve seen several F90’s, mostly competition series. BaT isn’t AutoTrader. Plenty of classic BMW’s though.

I've said it before, and will again, I think the Mercedes AMG GT series is one the full-blown, over the top masculine cars ever created. It's just so "in your face" of power and styling IMO. I remember parking my M550 next to a forest green one in the parking lot at a Market Basket, and figured out in my head that nobody would even notice my car next to this beast.

This should be interesting to follow to see if BaT brings a premium or a discount. When I was looking high and low for the right F90, pretty much everything I looked at was a 2021 M5C with similar miles as this and all pretty much priced at $84,000. This not a comp and it doesn't have bowers. I am going to guess this goes for $80,000. Remember, buyer pays the fee (5% of sale) to BaT. So between that and the shipping fee, most people take this into account when bidding.

Not BAT. But, C&B. Imo, the BMW E46 w/ZHP (M-Sport Package) has a timeless design. This particular example doesn't even show it's age IMO. 20 year car and it looks better than many newer cars on the road.

Love that. I was thinking yesterday about getting a fun weekend car instead of burying cash next year into a daily driver upgrade or mods for the M550. I wouldn’t have the cash to go for something like that. But was thinking something like this little roadster with a 6 cyl and a 5 speed.

I am trying to kill multiple birds with one stone. Reunite with my first BMW (E30), have something with three pedals and experience my first convertible for cruising on nice weekends. The convertible part of getting an E30 was something I have traditionally passed on for my search. One, because my first was a 325 coupe and two, they don't carry the same cache in the E30 community (and value). BUT, I realized how much I love windows down drives in the M550, so why not open it wide up.

Definitely will be exploring garage lifts if I get this or similar. Running out of garage space. I also am thinking of getting rid of the E39. I never use it.

Yeah, I’ve been wondering where the E39 fits in if you add another one and keep the M550.

I plan to tear down and rebuild our garage in the next 5 years. Mainly to put a game room above it and rework some of that part of the house for family needs. But I will 100% use that project to be sure I have the garage floor, storage, and height I want for future vehicle additions. I’ll either make it tall enough for a future lift or I’ll make it long enough to park a third car in there later. I can’t go too much wider.

The E39 currently has issues I am not willing to open the wallet for. I have put so much money into this car. At some point you need to waive the flag and cut your losses. It's just always something. It needs to go to a wrencher. I am currently looking for someone local to give it to for a song. It's not even about the money, I want it to go to an enthusiast with tools and technical skills.

Not much room on my lot to add extra garage spaces too. I am north of Boston where houses are close together. I was a south of Boston guy when I was married and three car garages are commonplace down there where you have to have 3/4 of an acre to build by law.

It’s crazy how many low mile 30 year old cars you see on these sites. It’s fun looking over the pictures of cars from my youth when they are still brand new.

A few years ago there was an E39 M5 with 10 miles on it and plastic still on the seats. Original owner bought two. One to store and one to drive. Sold for over $150k.

Spent about 10 minutes thinking about a wise ass funny answer! Puzzled as well. Maybe for when you hit the eject button and you're coming down via parachute. I wonder how comfortable these seats are in real life. I do prefer a seat that locks you in. I keep my side bolsters tight.

I would say beware of Frozen paint. No touch ups; respray only and often very difficult to match colors. At least that is what I read on a number of forums and remember from the body shop guys during my days selling BMWs. If you like a Matte look, as I understand it one can get a clear Matte wrap done, which at least is removable. --Bob.
