sounds about right. but note- even after its build it takes some time to get to the port and then some time to leave the port.

From what my guy said, it goes into this status a week or so before they actually start building it. Mine flipped a few days back and he had 10/17 as date of build completion. Then we enter the long wait for train ride to port and trip across the pond... Did you get a date for yours? |

Finally seeing some forward movement!
Status is now "151 - Body Shop Started". It's beginning to come into existence, no longer just a VIN or order sheet entry! lol |

Four more hops on the progress pegs. It's now build complete and waiting to be picked up.
DCDude has been waiting in this state for a few weeks: https://g30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1963205 If there's a transportation issue, it could sit here until the backup of cars is cleared. We'll have to see. |

Yeah, the actual assembly went by super fast. It's all the before and after stages that seem to take the longest. I was concerned about getting stuck at awaiting carrier assignment status like many others on the forums. So it was quite a relief to see it move passed that status today.

He's most likely going to get his earlier. My dad also ordered an X3 M40i couple of days before I did and ended up getting week 40 production, a week earlier than mine. He just picked it up from the dealer this Saturday while mine hadn't even finished building. I think the boat trip across the pond is the longest part of the wait... if everything goes without a snag.
