I can honestly say I have not seen an iPod or even heard anybody say the word iPod in 3 years. I figured they didn't exist. I don't buy apple products so I wouldn't be looking for it but I was pretty sure they are not used any more.

been rocking a Zune 80GB since they were released in 2007. Better than an ipod in every way but the advertising budget. Been in my office for the last few years playing 24/7 on random through a 70ish GB collection- can go for months without hearing the same song twice. Kinda dread the day it dies...

Yeah, silly of me to compare hardware specs across several different brands and buy something good, rather than something trendy with a good advert budget but crap specs...

Yep, same as many crazy people who buy specs instead of user experience. The iPod was head and shoulders above the Zune in that respect from Day One, which is why the Zune was an abject failure in the marketplace.

But hey, you've got the Edsel of MP3 players...could be a museum piece one day!

I still use a 160gb 5th gen and a 80gb that I modded to 128gb SD. Both going strong with >60gb of my random music. If there are a few songs that I am playing on the regular, I burn them to disk and add them to my cars hhd.

Oh and I still have a Motorola Razr flip phone and an original BMW snap in for it.. (Use a iPhone SE for daily though)..

Getting tired of moving it from car to car to house so picked up a cracked screen 32GB iPod Touch off ebay for $10. I'll either just use that one in the house or leave it in a car. Still might buy 1 or 2 more.

I had same issue with VW Eos. It’s essentially a convertible GTI, especially with a tune, but apparently it had some stigma I was unaware of. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but I did have a couple guys hit on me. I only got rid of the car because the top was dodgy.

Because they sound damn good and they are small. Everything nowadays is backwards, by that I mean electronics have gotten larger (ie phones and music devices).

I like having my entire library in my pocket. My 256bg iPhone X can not only do that, but I can create playlists on the fly, i can search, and more importantly, I can buy a song from wherever I am through the iTunes Store. Streaming music apps and YouTube Pro puts almost every song that was ever recorded at my fingertips. Also, I have multiple cars, and since out smartphones come with us everywhere we go anyway, I don't have to worry about leaving my iPod in the i3 when I want to take my M3 out on the weekends or when we go on a road trip in my wife's SUV. I also like using my wireless Bluetooth headphones when I'm working out. The iPod doesn't have wireless headphones. I have a 160gb iPod classic. I love it, but I haven't used it in a decade.
