Wonder if it like on the 3-series is considered an "individual" color option. That would effectively double its price. For the 3-series it also requires the M-sport package.
Also, I think it's a bit too similar to med blue. But that's just from pictures on the net.
Phytonic blue seems like a nice one as well...

Anyway. Do you know anything more on options on the LCI? Like Driving assistant plus or pro?
Laser lights?

LCI should get DA Pro, backup assistant, drive recorder, remote software update feature.... Basically full iDrive7. Maybe, there will also be a surprise or two. I'm hoping they drop in the O1 version of the B58.

I'm pretty sure you can order a 3-series with any individual color even without M-sport package (if you ask nicely). At least in the German configurator, you can choose Tanzanite without M-sport.

LCI will also get Driving Assistant Professional, wondering if it's the same as in the 7/8 series or a newer, better version. Laser lights are confirmed as well, since you can already get them on the 5 series (at least in Germany).

Individual is "individual" for the US market. There are Priority 1 options that have "individual" colors but a just special order standard colors. While Individual is available in the US market, it's much more expensive for non-priority 1 Individual colors and requires a willing dealer since in the US, buyers don't really buy the car when they order it and the dealer could end up with a car in their inventory with a hard to sell color.

I'm curious about your comment regarding laser lights for the pre-LCI G30 in Germany. Do the lights look the same as the LCI lights or more like the full LED adaptive lights?

Laser Lights are definitely coming unless BMW adds Adaptive High Beam support to the base headlights. IIHS requires that adaptive high beam support is standard to get the IIHS Top Safety Pick award starting in 2020. It is why the 5 series no longer has this award in the US. To save on cost I expect the current Adaptive ICON lights to become the new base offering and Laser to be the new upgrade option in the US.

I also expect they will align the tech properly so you'll get RSU support and etc for iDrive 7. I also expect MY2019 will get updates to absorb the software side of this, but some stuff will be not be added to MY2019 like Traffic Jam Assist Pro.

But we should find out any day now? As isn't the LCI due to be officially unveiled this month?

Interesting.
Laser lights are M550 and M5 only in Sweden. Are they available for all variants in Germany?

Are you sure about full ID7?
As far as I've seen, it will keep the old ID-controller and not get the new one that ID7 cars have.
If it stays with ID7-- or ID6.5 or whatever you call the current state, then I guess it will also stay with driving assist plus and not pro...

Also in Italy laser today can be ordered only on M550.
The maximum you can order on other engines is the full adaptive (1.500€)

Yeah, I know about the BMW Individual situation in the US (as well as the build to stock market), but I just wanted to mention it is possible to order any car in any color you want if you pay for it. US 3-series is not built in Munich, but in Mexico, isn't it? That might be the reason why Tanzanite is not a Priority 1 color in the US...

Laser lights can be configured for the M550i/M550d and M5 in Germany as others have mentioned. They look like the full adaptive LEDs visually.

My dealer orders a bunch of tanzanite vehicles from 3er to X7, isn't it a priority 1 color? Non-Priority would be something like British Racing Green I thought?

I guess Tanzanite is a pretty popular color, so they won't have any fear of unsold cars. They probably can sell them at an even greater markup.

They definitely aren't selling any X5's or 3er's above MSRP, Tanzanite is just $1k more expensive than normal metallics I beleive.

Like the aventurine red, but do you get blue or the new red brakes?

Is BMW at 0.9% for 60 now?

The VW headlights look s@@t. What's with the cut-out in the headlight eyebrow? Looks like a bodge instead of a design feature.
BMW always had brand recognisable headlights...not anymore, it just blends in with all the other mass produced cars on the road. Is BMW loosing its way?

I have a 540i with PPF, I’m hoping that the refresh will mean that MPPSK will be available for my car, anyone heard anything?

Headlights on the LCI look very similar to headlights on 2020 Skoda Octavia.
