I was going for a quarter mile run when I noticed the DA finally dropped negative this week. Some damp patches on the road meant that it was spinning up 3rd and TC kicked in (can't use LC with traction fully off like the M5). On the upside the first part of the road was dry and I got a 0-60 pb
.

Been logging the last few days and lower outside temps show that the car is happy with a bit more boost up top and maintains over 20 degrees of timing. popped a 10 second pass in the lower DA

I'm in the market for some light forged wheels I can run UUHP summer tyres on (non run flats). Really struggled to find anything in 9J and 10J widths with the right offsets under 8 grand! So after some research, I'm going to try having some custom rims made in China. Here is the CAD drawing in M5CS bronze

Maybe this color wouldnt look as good on a blue car but I drooled a bit over this color and design from the new 718 GT4 RS. Note the thumbnail seems to be some weirdly edited photo and isn't how the wheels appear in the video.

New summer tyres arrived, took a gamble on continental sportcontact 7. The reviews for the 6 are very good (bar the wear rate) so I figured the successor can't be worse... Thought it would be worth seeing the weight while they are unmounted. 10.25kg / 22.5lbs for 285/30/20 and 9.25kg / 20.5lbs for the fronts 255/35/20

That is some color and wheel combo, really pops, excellent taste. Looks like you picked up about 4/10's of second 0-60? How much louder is your exhaust?

My desire is to break 2.99 seconds 0-60 with the ultra high performance tyres in better conditions.

In comfort and at rest with the valves active its not much louder at all. Its on the move at full throttle it sounds bad ass.
I saw a cool recording hack on youtube yesterday for getting realistic exhaust audio clips without the wind pickup. It essentially involves putting your iphone in the trunk and taping the noise cancelling headphones to the rear bumper. I have a new iphone coming tomorrow conveniently, so I may give it a try.

I love my z06 its a 2019 last year of the front engine and more importantly a 7 speed manual that is so sweet. If you ever make it across the pond you are welcome to drive it. I love the mid engine design but no stick no me

Got an update today, wheels are in France after getting stuck in Kazakhstan. I have adjustable upper camber arms on the way from Taiwan. As soon as this all lands in the UK I will book in for a setup at my local race setup shop http://suspensionsecrets.co.uk/ plan is to weigh the vehicle as well.
