Yeah, good call on those. Pretty everyone says the same thing about the rails that come with the knockoffs. They may be fine functionally, but better to spend the $60 or whatever it is on real ones.

The fitment of them is spot on with these aftermarket lights. All 4 pieces fit nicely. I did look to see if I needed to make any trimming adjustments but all looks fine to me.

Very pleased with the outcome. For £96 delivered, well worth it in my opinion.

Just bought my set from Euro Parts Palace! Highly recommend them. $850.00 a set and has remote coding available as an option. This is too good to pass on since the price difference between the knock offs versus the OEM isn’t much!

I imagine it would but even though I ended coding out the test function as described here I never saw the LEDs blink ever.

BimmerCode has an option to code led reverse bulbs, do not activate it as you will get reverse light errors. That what happened with my car if you got the aftermarket taillights.

Here's the coding I used, expert mode in bimmercode Bodydomain module.

3061 RFS_L_WARMUEBERWACHUNG = nicht aktiv
3061 RFS_R_WARMUEBERWACHUNG = nicht aktiv
3061 RFS_L_KALTUEBERWACHUNG = nicht aktiv
3061 RFS_R_KALTUEBERWACHUNG = nicht aktiv

I left these not active. Activating them gave me the reverse light issues.

Not directly related to the LCI lights themselves, but thought I'd share this here...

I added the Golden Wrench Blackline Overlay kit to the lights. Small change but I think it looks much better. The tint blends in well with the black at the bottom of the light. Hard to tell there's an overlay on there unless you're really close to the light

I like it in concept, but the sloppiness of these lines is killing my OCD. Especially the outer. I think the LCI's look pretty good as is.

From my research, there seems to be two types of aftermarket LCI tail lights, either sequential or non sequential. The sequential one seems cheaper as they are around $350 USD on ebay, while the non-sequential one seems to be around $600 USD. Did anyone have a chance to compare the two? $350 USD seems quite cheap and gives me pause for concerns. For the people with the sequential ones, how did you find the quality? Thanks.

Been doing more research. I don't recall anyone ever mentioning seals, but from BMW's diagram there are 3 gaskets (#4 and #5). Could these be the cause of leaks? Could the Ebay units have inferior seals? Sure, better gutters would help, but if the issue are the seals wouldn't addressing the seals directly be a better solution?

A lot of people ordered the OEM LCI gutters for peace of mind, especially after finding the aftermarket ones to be cheap and warped on arrival. OEM's are pretty cheap.

In terms of those gaskets, first time I am seeing someone wondering if these should be replaced with OEM. Honestly, water and condensation resulting from aftermarket tails seems to be the exception and not a given. I would just go with the OEM gutters and keep an eye on it. I doubt you can buy those gaskets separately anyway.
