If I were you, I wouldn't get married to one car if it's not perfect and you don't have to have it today. HK sounds is a pretty distinct option to not have. Not like 18 in vs 19 in wheels or something.

I don't know if you took my advice but the bmw website is a good search tool. You just might have to drive a couple hours to get it. Also, you can find dealers with good 5 series inventory. I always click the link to the dealership to see what else they have.

This. I've purchased three 5-Series' and each took about 3 months of searching. The latest (2019 540i) has more options than I was looking for and I have yet to see another as-equipped for sale. Patience is your friend UNTIL you find just what you want. Then, POUNCE!! Negotiate until the dealer gives you their final offer. It's a bit tough now with the lack of new cars and lessees buying out their cars. The market has definitely turned into a seller's market.

And we're back to the 540… I really think you can get a nicely optioned 540 in your original price range. I found mine for 43k and I was dead set on driver assistance plus package. I saw a decent amount without that option for lower prices than I got mine for.

But it's your car. If you find what you like, go for it. I've done this rodeo a handful of times and I've learned two things - be patient and don't settle. This was the first time I've actually decided on what I wanted and been willing to wait and it's the first time I've had zero remorse. Knowing me, I won't drive this car for more than 5 years. BUT it's the first one I've had in a long time that I could drive for a decade if that's what happens and I wouldn't be sorry at all.

I can care less for the front camera and 360 thing. I mean, my mom's got it on her Mercedes it's nice but not really a nist have. HK isn't a mist have either but again I've never really had a car either HK. My dad had a E46 with HK. But, I was young.

I'm going to go see that 530 at perillo Wednesday. Taking my check book with Me just in case since it's an hour drive. They do have a 19 530 with HK and all the cameras. It's 7k more tho for some reason. It's got two minor accidents. Just gonna look at it to test the HK. If I don't notice nice difference, I'll opt back in for the original 530. I love that sapphire black on congac interior combo

Seems kinda overpriced but that's not an issue. I'll get them down. Fully loaded though.

I like those wheels also. The standard ones make the car look base.

I really like the Black Sapphire over Cognac interior. Makes the car seem more luxurious IMO.

But Black on Black isn't bad. If I can get that 19 530 with 13k miles on it for closer to $40k-$42k I'd get that since it's got more stuff.

I personally would never buy a car that was in a minor accident or had any repaint work done. After a couple years, that repaint will look awful. The paint never matches….tough resell. You'll be sorry you did it.

Minor usually means dent and scratches. I'll be able to tell if it was painted. Orange peel is one indicator.

Good thing the sun will be out when I am going. So, any scratches or what have you will be noticeable. Idk if I should have them wash both cars before I get there or not?

They run the cars through those automatics. So more swirl marks

My brand-new M550i has plenty of orange peel on it. That won't be a good gauge. You need to open up door jams hoods and everything and check all the edges for any tape lines… overspray etc. All the inside of the seams should be very smooth. No roughness. All in all, it will be your ride, your choice. Best of luck

You're probably not getting that 2019 down to $40-42k. This is not a pre-covid car market. There is no incentive for a dealer discount the car by 9-10%. Cars similar year & mileage priced at $44-47k. Also the 2018 is similarly priced nationwide. You really need to ask your self, what exact options you want on a used 530. If you found it, you got to decide if your willing buy it during this time or you're just wasting time. Best of luck though.

What calendar are you using? Jan 31 to March 6 is barely 5 weeks, nowhere near 3 months.

Dealers now belong to larger larger groups and don't deal like the old days when they were more independent. The corporation sets the price, a lot like the no-haggle dealers.
