Has anyone in the US successfully retrofitted the LCI tail lights into a pre-LCI car and have them working w/o any errors or issues?

If you need to learn how to update firmware, first you need full version of psdzdata, and Esys 3.34 is Ok, also check google there is a guide for f10, its almost same with g30, only you need to check squence of ecu for prerequest. Definetly first update to BDC_GWS then SAS then FLM, .......USS, NBT, ATM, finally BDC_BODY. Note: NBT its take nearly a hour.

mrgicm, do you have (or know of anyone that has) wiring instructions for this retrofit? I'm having an impossible time finding a single link or threat that has the coding and the wiring instructions for this retrofit.

Whats the final word about coding needed or unnecessary? M5 area is saying it is absolutely needed but didn't say what it was and some here are saying that it's a clean swap and you're back on the road with no issues. What is is really? I want to order a set of the ROW amber signals but I need to know what is needed first before I drop more than a grand on a couple lights.

When I pulled my taillights off to get to the rear bumper nuts it was a single connection for each of the lights. I'd assume the ones on the actual trunk lid are just a single wire as well.

this is official retrofit, ISTA+ has modification for this retrofit. Checked details for programming with
ISTA+ and it adds HELC to veichle profile, then code all ecus, not only BDCBODY.

Some people sometimes having brake lights error when engine start. Problem can be for coding only BDCBODY. I Think DSC and EPS may control brake lights, add HELC to ho worth and code all ecus.

Do you add two addition brake wires for left and right side inner lights to A258.

Connect branch F2 to plug A258 * 3B, pin 50.

Connect branch F4 to plug A258 * 3B, pin 38.
