Also btw can I just replace 5AS with 5AT in the vo and then just VO code and thats it? or will I need an FSC code too? also can I do all of this without a laptop? just by using BimmerUtility from my phone? or will I need ista to update the firmware on the 2 new SRRs and the 1 new FRR?

I am part way through my 5AS to 5AT retrofit on my 2018 540d.
I have added the two lane departure sensors, ACC module (radar unit), the modified lower grille and ran the wiring into the cabin.
I’m now working on adding the circuit to fuse #92, running the wiring across to the SAS module and the wires to the rear bumper area to tie all 4 lane departure sensors together. Then comes coding.

Has anyone done the coding themselves or did you have someone remote in?

FSC codes are needed but I’ve read that BMW won’t sell them for this type of retrofit. Apparently you need to ‘patch’ the KAFAS file.
Have you gotten any further with yours?
