I placed order on Aug 29 and immediately got the production number. I think I have the VIN from that point itself. Looks like mine was waiting for ship in Germany for 2-3 weeks and now with recall for 2-3 weeks, total 4-5 weeks lost. Hope recall will fix next couple of days and takes about a week to shop to mid-west and I will have snow by that time.

We have now moved to "In Transit".
So that's either form the port to the VPC or from the VPC to the PDC. We all need more TLAs in our lives. (Three Letter Acronyms) |

No I believe that would be done at VDC only and wouldn't leave for PDC until necessary work has completed.

I'm just gonna assume we were "In Transit" from the Port of Charleston to the PDC and now we are back "At The Port" meaning the PDC.
It's been a long enough wait, we're ready, we've been ready, LFG!!! |

Wife just called Genius, the car is at PC in Greer, SC. PC is booked (or closed) until Jan 6. With our schedules, we likely won't get our car until February. But, it'd be a nice wedding anniversary trip. Last edited by G30 B58; 12-14-2021 at 12:09 PM.. |

Just got a message from dealer my recall is done, but bmwgarage still shows “at the port” , may take some time to update. But recall status is closed now.
Ordered on aug 29th, came to US port on Nov 20, recall started working on Nov 27th, recall completed Dec 15/16. People who are waiting 3 weeks in recall status expect any time soon. Thank you, hope this helps. |

For real? man, I was hoping get my car before the year ends. If I have to wait until Feb, I might just skip the experience part and just take the car.
