Thank you for your posts. Your vote of confidence towards the DHP suspensions only added to my impatience and I really went after a deal today.

As a result, I finally secured a vehicle now instead of waiting for my build. Negotiated a great deal on fully loaded 540 with DHP. It's a few hundred miles away and they agreed to ship it up here and take my x3 back to them. It's got everything except rear heated seats, ~83k sticker.

I don't know if I'll never not have a bit of hesitation as it seems a bit silly when you can get an m550 for just a few thousand more and about ~125 / month.

Finalize the paperwork today. Have to arrange shipping date still but I'd hope within the next week. The car is in stock.

It's got the works: DHP, executive, shadowline, massage, nappa, DAP, sensatec etc - just about 83k sticker.

I'm actually really excited for the roll stabilization and as long as another msport isn't right next to me hopefully i will be none the wiser on ride height .

Glad to hear you like the blue. The color went from, first seeing it "oh that's pretty nice" -> to wow I want that one a lot more than the black one, let's make this happen!!

Interior is a bit interesting with mocha and grey poplar trim. That wouldn't have been my choice. I Like the mocha but needs to a different color trim with it (I think). I'll wait for final verdict until I see in person. Eod I don't care about the interior colors as long as it's comfortable and rides nice.

The interior trim is actually not that hard to change. Might be a little pricey, but totally doable. I have the mocha nappa with aluminum rhombicle and I like it quite a lot. I've never been a fan of the old man glossy brown wood thing. Aluminum trim in a sport sedan is the way to go. Check e-bay from time to time for a good deal on G30 trim.

Lastly, I don't think I'd ever opt for the massage seats again. I had no choice in my model year, but everything I've read on this forum informs me that the massage bladders inside the seat make the seat harder and less comfortable than without the massage. I use the massage sometimes, but honestly I'd not miss it. No way would I pay a grand for the massage feature- I'd rather keep that $$ in the piggy bank for the next Bimmer.

Haha I'm under 40 and I like the wood trim. Prefer the Walnut Burl in my 2018 to the Fineline Ridge wood trim currently available. But I like all the pictures I see of the gray wood that OP is getting.

I'm just under 40 too and I used to think that the Burl Walnut is old man trim, but I quite like it in person! I agree the Fineline Ridge doesn't looks that great on the 5 for some reason...perhaps because the trim is larger and wider; it looked nice in my 3 with cognac interior. Maybe it looks good with just the right interior color combos.

I don't have the fancy Nappa leather…. But I do have Canberra Beige Dakota and it looks fabulous against the Burl Walnut wood. It's just a classic look. I hope they put a beige leather option in the new G60 5 series.

I think the gray poplar wood has a similar kind of large pattern. It would also look good on beige or ivory, I think.

I think you might be onto something about the fine line ridge wood.
