Wow they don't earn the stealership name for nothing. Those are crazy prices. I can understand charging >$5K to do an evap change on the G30, but taking off door panels should not cost that much.

I ended up paying $800 after three days of back and forth and Q&A. Still a lot for a $250 speaker, but I didn't feel like tackling it. The Tweeter was fine as I suspected, so I nixed that pretty quick. That was actually like a $1,300 speaker which is crazy because the mid can be had for $250 or less. So I paid $450 for labor to pop the door card and plug in a new speaker, ugh. But it works and all is well in the world when I can crank up my tunes on a windows down day.

I'm glad you were able to do that. What's ridiculous is that the tweeter is needed to be removed to go get to the midrange and it's 10X easier to do!

Yeah, I watched a YT on removing the tweeter and it pops off with a vinyl trim tool. When i thought I needed one, I looked up the part and it lists for $1,300, that didn't include labor or the enclosure. I found plenty of used pulls on eBay complete enclosure. They run around $300, good to know if I ever need one, but unlikely I will.

I recently discovered the front mid out. I have route 66 but skipped on a claim and just swapped it out myself. Last year I had to replace the tweeter LED which was the easiest job ever. I am noticing the driver's passenger door and tweeter not working but if I bang on the door panel few times it works. No clue what the issue is and still need to investigate. This is a dumb problem to have on a car as expensive as they are.
