Obviously a run at 50° with negative 2,000 DA is going to be a hell of a lot better than a run at 85° with +3,000 DA.

Most of the runs on the draggy leaderboard are done in unrealistic temperature and DA in my opinion. But I guess that's why they're on the leaderboard.
My best run was honestly 20degrees out with salt on the ground. Car was rolllinnn lol 131 trap

Dinan_Engineering Stage 1
Michelin Pilot Sport 3

EDIT: Just noticed the PDF cannot be viewed via the app.

Short Version:
Stock Map -- 12.302 @ 114.68

Dinan Stage 1 -- 11.759 @ 118.90
Great 6 tenths off the stock time. Is this a dinan piggyback unit?

Just in the interest of transparency, my pump fuel is 94 with a splash of boostaine. So it's going to be around 96 approx as far as the knock sensor is concerned. No where near the octane of an alcohol mix but still allows better timing.

Just got a 0-60 in 3.2 second not using launch control. I have been trying to figure out what's going on with my launch and it's the car shifting early or limiting torque.

My current thinking is that the gearbox protects itself when it detects too much torque input by kicking you up a gear to reduce the torque multiple. This is a particular problem with the piggy backs Vs a proper tune on the ECU and TCU. Mostly because the gearbox isn't expecting that extra 150lbs of twist coming it's way!

Same with mine. I can literally shift at 4-5k and still pull 3.2 0-60.
It means car is alrdy doing that to avoid damage. Hopefully when xhp becomes available i can break my transmission lolol

You gotta see when it hit 3rd gear. U have to hold the wheel because u get full boost and awd car sways. Fun

I suspect the gearbox will be fine. It's rated for 750nm for hundreds of thousands of miles and to do that it will be built to handle more for brief periods of time. I guess the best way to validate that is see what the M5 cars are seeing in terms of gearbox issues as it's the same gearbox as our cars.

It's strong but it's shifting early or limiting torque.

This is where XHP comes in.

The other thing and it may not apply to our cars is increasing the redline. I almost bought an RS6/RS7 and increasing redline is a big deal for more power but usually with bigger turbos.

Are R35's GTR's deserving of respect? They seem pretty slow to me these days??

Perhaps a bone stock one, but definitely not a modded GTR.
Local GTR shop here in my town. They have several 1000+ HP GTR's running around town. They dont sound like cars, more like an Aircraft engine with that massive turbo.

Here's one running an 8 second 1/4 at 179mph.
They are now running mid 7's.

I've seen this one several times. KING GTR, here he is running a 7.5 second run.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. I'm arriving at the conclusion...Anything less than built motor with big turbos isn't formidable.
