From my experience the last few weeks. This is the limbo/purgatory phase of the journey. My wife's 340 made it from port to dealership (NJ) in 5 days while the M4 has been at the VPC/Port since last week with no movement. Doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it.

I'm trying to get the car to Spartanburg for a 10/14 PCD and 10/15 M school. BMW told my CA that it won't make it because they typically need 4 weeks from port to SC, which just sounds long to me. I know customs is the big limbo time. I've passed through fast and slow before. Assuming it gets through customs I'm hoping they can pull some strings to make it happen for the $3300 I'm giving them for M school.

If you get a corporate discount from BMW, that's the last thing you should mention, after the price is decided upon. BMW reimburses the dealer for this discount, and the paperwork in fact includes a note regarding this.

Epic post, been 2.5 years since my M4 order but even that was my 3rd time at the process. Got so good at it that I even watched the live stream at each of the 3 Panama Locks. It's really sick when you spend this much time tracking it, but I even tracked the delivery from port to dealer on the semi.

Looks like I'm about 5 months from doing it all over again, probably f82 M4 again.

The ship my car is on finally left the port of Southampton, GB, but appears to have been circling the north sea at the very low speed for over 24 hours now. Is this normal? I haven't tracked a ship before.

Is it cheaper to lease a M550xi over a 540xi due to the higher discount on the M550xi?

I used 7% off just to get an idea of pricing, then $2500(corp and winter event) and I threw in all the taxes and fees into the cap cost.

called bmw genius and they gave me CD708 for me to track, but not sure if CD708 is vessel name or #? i tried looking up on marinetraffic but cant find it.... anyone can help?

You can get a higher discount on a 550? over 8% and close to 4% on 540?

Hello, my dealer ordered my M550i (said I was next in line for allocation), but will not give me any worked out payments. Also told me that the car will be sold at MSRP. I put $2K down when I placed an order, but really don't have anything other than the build sheet. I usually buy used, and pretty good at it, but buying new is 'new' to me. So, how do I get my dealer to go below MSRP, or should I just get the car from somewhere else?

Great information i have my order put in on Tuesday and delivery is not till july

Ordered the 530i M Sport

Status:
1100 Scheduled.

Production week is 24th of June and estimated delivery is 27th week in July.

I have asked my dealer to bring this forward and they said they are going to try and get back to me.

The wait is going to be tough

BMW have managed to bring my car forward from first delivery end of july, then end of september now middle of june.

But was wondering what codes you have for the UK delivery and build?

As i have code 1200 "Scheduled for production"

In the list at the beginning the status shows: 112 Order scheduled for Production


The current status of your BMW is on 1200 "Scheduled for production" with the estimated delivery will be around the 24th week in June.

The estimated delivery is from 10th-18 in June.

Just FYI - It took 17 days to ship from Bremerhaven to Galveston with one stop along the way. If anyone was wondering how long to expect to wait on shipping times.
