Checking all rates tomorrow and the reason why it’s best to just do it right the first time and avoid refinancing is that you’ll have one hard inquiry vs two ( some people do care about that) and you’ll have to do the paperwork 2x instead of once

Right now Iam confident I can get 2.8-3.5 on 60-72

Which automatically beats 4.29 or 4.79 that someone said bmw was offering

1% on 100k makes a decent difference.

Leasing right now makes absolutely zero sense

MF was said to be .000240 which equates to 5.76% no thanks.

I guess it comes down to how much payment you’re willing to afford

Who did you settle with? I'm also in the Bay Area!

Was able to get 3.35% for 60 or 2.9% for 36 months at my local credit union. Locked in for 90 days. I hope my car arrives by then !!!

4.79 60 months from BMW Finance last Saturday 9/17. Plan to pay off early, so I wasn't too worked up about the rate.

Georgia's own, just refinanced yesterday. I kept thinking there has to be a catch and the final papers came and I signed.. it's truly amazing.

2.00 for 48 months. Local credit union. Had another local credit union offer 2.25 for 48 months, and negotiated to beat that rate.

Call your local credit unions! Both of mine have a requirement that you live or work in county....but my county can't be that unique. I searched Google maps near me for credit unions then browsed websites and made calls. Most had rates posted online.

I would try Tech CU in the bay area. Their rates seem competitive. Stanford CU is ok as will but you need to do direct deport and apply for credit card, which at that point you can get 2.99%

How long are y’all waiting to refinance? So the dealer doesn’t get dinged?

For BMWFS you need to make 3 payments for dealer to get credit. If incentives to finance I usually will do the lowest amount necessary (was like 7500) and then I make 4 payments before paying off to be safe as I want the guy I use to get his incentive.

I got 2.24 from Massbay Credit Union for 60 months, for anyone in Massachusetts, they only do loans for up to 80k so would have to put some money down to get it there

Seeing my sales guy's expression when I told him I brought a check from my CU when I picked up a Cayenne last month (never agreed to dealer financing), and the business manager subsequently trying to sneak in a upsell that was never in the sales contract and then getting hostile when I refused to pay $1k for some OE all weather floor mats and usb-c cables, and eventually lying through his teeth that all Porsches now come from the factory with those "required" accessories, I'd presume both.

I usually work my deals via the GM so I know the dealership in general gets a bump but don't know how it is disbursed. I assume lions share goes to finance/biz people.

Worst case just use their financing and pay off or refinance later.

We're picking up our new '23 in about a week so we're looking around.
Navy Federal is doing 3.99 on 60 month and 4.29 on 72. I've got inquires into other CU's and will check with the dealer on BMWFS.
Any other recommendations?

If you work in certain professions see if there is a specific CU nationally for members...police, fire, teachers, military etc.

Looking at Georgia's OWN CU site now. Rates are still crazy there:

MY 2021 or newer
2.64% - 24mos, 36 mos, 48 mos
2.76% - 60 mos
2.93% - 72 mos
3.63% - 84 mos

***EDIT - just called, have to be a resident in GA, works for one of their affiliated business, or have a family member as a member (aka live in GA).

My thought is to use BMWFS for the first 3 months to get the loyalty $1k, and the refinance through my CU who still consider the car 'new'.

Bank of America has offered me 4.84% on 72 months. Earlier in June I got 3.84% from them on a used M4. Any recommendations for credit unions or lower rates in Fl?

I think it is going to be greater challenge now to find competitive rates with a CU.

I got locked on 9/21/22 for 60 days @ Amplify Credit Union out of Austin TX @ 2.29% for 60 months.

As of 10/3/22 that same loan is 4.09%.

Best lock in on best rate you can find ASAP.
