X-Delete Finally Available!

X-Delete is finally available for G series, just got their email.

Who is interested in taking the plunge with me? I still don't have XHP on this car which I probably should, but stage 2 540 with MHD OTS 93 right now.

Let share results here. Its almost summer and I'm getting sick of these garbage run flats anyway

I'd be very interested in this. Any idea if there are incompatibility issues with the BM3 tuner?

Just noticed that AWD Off is only available for E and F cars. However, the AWD allow you to set lock-up rate from 0-100%. Sooo, I'm curious what the difference is.

Not too sure about wanting rear wheel only if I have x-drive. Please explain the benifits of rear wheel only. Doesn't x-drive create less wheel spin and a better 0-60 time?

I just checked my 2020 M550i and it says Switch your BMW between AWD, AWD Sport, AWD Snow and RWD.

So weird, they change that since I got the email this morning.

I don't understand the AWD custom. If you have staggered wheels it says don't use it???

For staggered wheels you need to be RWD. Setting it above 0% to front wheels will damage the transfer case.

It appears the graphic is old and it has every mode besides snow sport or whatever. I decided for the moment I’m going to hold off because I believe it’s possible to code or unlock the oem idrive on the fly selectable rwd that some m cars have from the factory. It was possible on f series and I’ve seen evidence it’s possible on g series and I would prefer that to flashing every time.

They need to define exactly what THEY mean by staggered. Technically, my 295/255 setup is staggered, but it's within like .5% diameter difference, which is well within allowable differences.

I'm sure they are covering their ass as much as possible so they don't see posts of "xdelete ruined my car" after people mechanically ruin their own transfercase by using it incorrect etc.

From a drag standpoint 1000000% X drive is better. But if you've ever driven a RWD car you know it can be more engaging and enjoyable, plus (probably marginally) better MPG etc. Its just a nice option to have for $200-300. If there is no appeal to being able to toggle to RWD it wouldn't be for you. Personally I want to be able to enjoy 2 different feeling car sensations out of one car for low cost.

1. I think that the "marginally better" MPG associated with RWD comes from not having the weight or rotational resistance of a transfer case, neither of which is removed by xDelete.
2. It's not clear from the graphic, but did we determine whether G30 M550i owners get the benefit of the advertised "sport" and "snow" modes, or is it just a 4wd/2wd on/off toggle for us? Regardless, I agree it's a bummer to have to re-flash to change it.

I have it on my 540i ,there is RWD mode, AWD sport and custom mode, so far I've only tried the RWD mode to see how it works. DTC half off and sports+ it will happy spin up the rears very easily in damp conditions, i have a track day next week so ill test RWD and AWD sport out a bit more

Here's a few screenshots:

AWD sport:

I've purchased it and I have a few questions out to them which I probably won't get a response until Monday. The app isn't giving me a voice to redeem the xdelete license.

Did you install the xdelete app? ( your screenshot looks like XHP app) Its a totally separate app to XHP

That's where I screwed up since I didn't realize it was a separate app.

i flashed my m340i and was unable to launch the car in sport plus as it would wheel spin.

in 4WD sport only the rears were spinning and when i flashed back to AWD normal all 4 wheels were spinning

now i'm scared to flash the G30, any such issues?

drifting, donuts, powerslides, burnout, wrong front tire size, transfer case broken, owner is crazy, etc
