Massaging seats on the other hand are pointless to me as I never use them, I've tried it on mercedes CLS and found it to be much better, but I may be wrong as it was only one time usage. Additionally, it is said that seats with massaging option are less comfortable than without.

It's all subjective. Some people find value, some don't. The only reason I have ventilated seats is because you can't get Nappa or Merino without it. I'd actually prefer the smooth leather vs. the pin cushion. Excluding ventilated seats means you get the crap Dakota.

+1 I would order both again in a heart beat. The best massage seats, where it felt like it was mechanical vs BMW's air bladders, was the Lincoln Aviator...crazy massage. The best ventilated seats that I experiences was my Jag Fpace. Jag utilized the peltier thermoelectric cooling concept. The seats were super cold. The worst ventilated seats are in my Lexus. Completely worthless.

As much I have been complaining about the massage seats, I'd probably add them to the option list because I am an option whore and the fear of missing out. I'd rather have the option at my discretion than not. I do think that if I could have the best leather available and have it smooth like the side bolsters and back seat, I would choose this over ventilated seats.
