Compatible wireless chargers for display key

Can anyone recommend a wireless charger that works with the display key?

None of my Qi chargers seem to work with it. Does BMW use a specific type of wireless charger for the keys?

There is one built into the car , just put the key in the tray in front of the cup holders and it will charge.

You also have the option to charge via a usb cable that is supplied aswell

I use the tray one for my phone while driving so that means it's out of use for the display key.

The thought of fiddling with yet another charge cable each time I arrive at my office or when I get home is just a pain.

I have a number of Qi chargers around my home for my iPhones (wife's and mine), and I'm just disappointed they don't work with the display key.

Until I find a solution, I'll just put it away in a drawer as it's more of a pain than a useful item.

The Qi chargers should work. The receiver is not centered in the fob, though. It's closer to the bottom.

If you've got a charger with an LED it will help the process, as the screen is very slow to turn on once it starts charging. But, slowly slide the key fob up on the charger until the charger's LED turns on.

I have a Belkin wireless charger for my iPhone and it charges my display key with no issues at all.

My key works on a couple of Qi chargers that I use at home for my phone. However, I hardly ever use that as I use the wireless charger in the car. I only charge once every other week for half an hour or so. I've never had an issue with the battery running low.

All Qi chargers work it's just fiddly as the charge spot on the key isn't in the middle of the key.
