Thoughts on the Dinan Performance Springs
I would like to lower my M235 just a enough to get rid of the gap in the wheel well. Does anyone that has these care to comment?
Thinking Dinan as I want to keep my warranty intact.

I might do the springs on my 228i, although inevitably the labor will be expensive. Two pieces of advice, FWTW: (i) you will be better off doing this through a specialist tuner shop with a well-established Dinan license rather than a dealership, even one authorized to install Dinan products. There was a horror story in these forums recently from a guy whose car was all but ruined when a non-Dinan BMW dealership (also his employer, ouch) installed his springs upside-down. He was $1000 down with a crippled car and no warranty on the work. Always use a high-quality Dinan performance shop. Finally, (ii) make sure you get the ride kit with the springs. Good luck and please keep us posted.

I had the springs installed on my m235i about 2 months ago.. I definitely recommend the upgrade. I have been using the same high quality shop since I first got my license, (I'm 35 now) so I trusted them to install them properly. In my opinion, this is the way the car should've came. It handles better, the gap is closed giving it a nice even look front to back, recovers from bumps faster, rolls less, and in sport mode isn't harsh at all. To me, it feels just right. Hope this helps.

The M Sport suspension drops both axles 10mm. The Dinan springs drop the front axle 1/2 inch (13mm) and the rear a full inch (25mm). Simple math says the Dinan springs will drop a car with M Sport suspension 3mm in the front and 15mm in the rear.

Here is mine on the Dinan Springs...do not bother with those overpriced E30 M3 bumpstops (which you can just get at a dealership) that Dinan calls a supplemental comfort kit. Just cut your stock ones (no shock disassembly needed) takes 5 min each side and you get the same smooth ride. cheers.

No, it will not effect the ride quality when you go back to stock.

I wonder if the same could be done for H&R springs...

Yes. I will bet after 10K+ the car will get bouncy...at least that has happened with me on every H&R spring-only setup I've had unless I cut or got shorter bump stops. There simply isn't enough shock movement over time and the shock will surely lose its rebound effectiveness. good luck!
