Have you guys looked at the Kia Telluride ? I love that mofo.
Unfortunately, the Stealerships are marking them up from $5-10k because they are so popular. The thing I like about them is they can actually TOW something as well. None of that stupid ass belt driven CVT transmission bullshit.
The interior is very nice as well and they all are maxed out with options.
I always see a murdered out telluride on the way into work. They look great and I'm sure they have all the tech functions like zeh german cars. I'd imagine it's probably not "big swinging dick" enough for this situation.
I read this exchange to my wife and the friends we had over for dinner and everyone was dying laughing because it's so funny and spot on.

With the wheel exchange… I feel like it would be no big deal since I'm on the "losing" end of the swap. But if that one is also CPO, there might be a requirement that it come with the wheels on its original spec sheet. But I'm going to ask him on Monday.

This was kind of my deal buying my car with the same people. I don't haggle a bunch about price, I already know how it stacks up before I call. I spend the energy asking for other accommodations here and there and I stay consistent with what I want.
Lol. I knew what the situation was when she said the x5 was nice but not big enough . Range Rover seem to be a womanly favorite 'round these parts, never understood why other than the high price tag.

On the X7 in general, I think they are bad ass SUV's and since I've had five seven series before moving to the sportier five, I know what it feels like to drive the flagship BMW. The 7 is the flagship car or sedan and the X7 is the same for the SUVs. They leave nothing to be desired.

That said, they are big and they aren't necessarily sporty. They are luxurious. But the "big" part is the non-starter for me. It's unnecessary space for me, or should I say "us". I'm looking as well to replace the QX60 for my girlfriend. I've looked at the X5's with sport package and that the route I will be going. The QX60 is already too big for her (and my garage). My only criteria is that my 95lb German Shepherd fits in the back comfortably.

On the wheels, I think it's a non starter but worth asking. These cars have to meet CPO standards with they certified and I'm pretty sure they have to match the original vehicle order sheet.

In about 16-18 years, we will be able to choose sport over size. Today… we need some size. I'd argue we would be just fine with an X5/GLE and just get a roof box for road trips. Certainly cheaper! But she wants the boat.

On the wheels, unfortunately I agree. If it were March, I'd be more tempted to roll the dice and spend 6 months hunting down a deal on new wheels and just sell the 22's. But it's August and baby #2 arrives in October. Not a lot of time to screw with it.

Thanks Pete! It may be the best vacation experience I've ever had. Including Maui last month.

This is the view from my backyard where I type this right now. Overlooking Capri.

The keys are in a secret place in my kitchen so my house sitter doesn't get the urge to take it for a spin. Head over and I'll tell you take it for a spin 😂

Anyone know how wide of a tire can be put on a 550? I know it's subject to offsets etc but conservatively speaking. I know 245/285 can be done for sure but I want to put some meat on.

Need get dedicated summer set if I want 265/295. Next question is how long will they keep the 112mm bore for. I have a set but they're 120.

Anyone into local craft beers, bourbon, rye… or cigars (I know the least about these but do enjoy them/recently started trying to lean more and keep a humidor).

Or coffee? I love trying new beans and brew methods

Yes, Cuban Cigars, single malt Whisky and tequila. I'd be interesting in learning more about coffee beans now that you mentioned it.

I am an avid fan of dark roast coffee although i dabble in medium roast because I've read there are delicious, complex flavors that can be found in medium and light roasts (haven't quite ventured that far yet).

My fav method of brewing is French press so far although I'm considering an aeropress or clever dripper soon. My wife thinks I already have too many coffee gadgets (burr grinder, 2 French presses, kuerig, nespresso, various drinking vessels)…. I say there's room for more. Anyway I'm always trying to perfect the consistency of my French press.

I'm a believer in "it's the golfer not the club" mentality so I like to find good quality, but reasonably priced beans and then work to brew them as best I can.

Right now I'm drinking Cooper Moon Sumatra which was very reasonably priced on Amazon and impressed me when brewed right.

I also have a passion for automatic watches…

Jesus Christ. It's going to take me half a day to Google what you just said. I press a button on my delonghi and caffeine comes out. Whatever Costco has for sale works out pretty good. :

Recently bought a breitling and was never a watch person but can appreciate it now after seeing how they're made.

Dude I'm dying.

Also, FYI, when I started laughing and told my wife I was laughing at "the BMW forum" she said "is it the big swinging dick guy?" Referring to your comment on her preferring an X7 or GLS to a Telluride.

So that's who you are in my house now.

I don't drink anymore but I always liked JD for cheap drinking, Bulleit for a step up, and Blantons for an expensive drink.

I like cigars and have a handmade humidor but I know very little. I do enjoy a lighter wrapper and Cohiba Connecticut is really good, though probably over priced. My house cigar is Fuente Cuban Corona Naturals since I got a box of them last Christmas. For a house Connecticut wrapper, Oliva makes a good one that isn't as expensive.

I love coffee but I know as much of it as my man Mandingo9 does. Also, for whatever reason I'm very sensitive to getting run down and jittery a few hours after drinking it. So I try to drink it in moderation (moderation is not something I excel at lol).

I also like a good diet Dr Pepper on occasion and run through a roll+ of Copenhagen every week. So I'm not super expensive to please. Haha.
