Even after disabling the option in doors menu my car always turns off when I open my door eve while in car, does anyone have a solution?

What car do you have? Your info below your forum handle is listed as a VW Golf.

there are workarounds. i believe shifting the gear lever to the left may keep the engine running. i've also read removing then buckling the seat belt behind you before opening the door may keep it running. another that may work is while in Hybrid drive mode, tap the accelerator pedal while holding down the brake pedal; this will start the engine (if it wasn't previously running). this last method works on my X5 45e, but i've not tried it on my 530e yet. try them and report back |

For a 530e to keep the car running after turning it off. You have to depress the gas pedal while parked. That will turn the engine on. It will stay running and honk if locked to remind you that it is running.
