Wow, that sucker really moves. Beats the M550d in 1/4 mile and 100-200km run. With a tune it will hang with a M550.

I'll take one if they ever bring to the US.

June/July seems a long time to wait for mine, having been on order since Nov 4th, but hey, Im sure looking forward to it.
It is even the same colour as that.
Never sat in one, never seen one in the flesh to date.
Pretty sure it will be a different experience to my current wheels.

I test drove one at BMW Oxford. Pretty good but the M550i felt a lot lighter on its feet.

100+ Horsepower difference.

But that autobahn run was impressive. I'm sure there will be mods and tunes that can get it very close to a stock M550.

If it has the same 3.0 V6 block that the Supra also uses.......look out!

M550i would cost me a mere +£6k a year in tax, so I'm more than happy with where I'll be.

YIKES !! That's crazy. Mine is $775 to register every year.

Good luck with your car. Did you do any research to see if the 545e uses the same 3.0 V6 that Toyota threw in the new Supra ? If so, the tuning will be urnreal. The new supras are making insane horsepower. But of course, it also depends on the transmission, suspension, rear end, etc..

The 545E uses the B58 inline 6 - not a V.
It is slightly de-tuned version of the unit from the other in line cars (540 / 530 etc).
Could very easily be tuned to nigh on 500BHP from the ICE alone, then add the 100+ from the electric motor.
Not going to be doing any of that, what it has is ample for me.
My daily commute is easily covered by the battery alone, plus I can charge at work if needed, that also saves over £1K per annum in fuel.

540HP is impressive. Do you know if that was all motor without the 100hp electric motor boost ? Or was it combined Engine and Electric.

It was combined total power, i also just realized it was a 745e, not a 545e, same engine and hybrid setup pretty much though

Nice. Can't wait to see a race between a tuned 545e and stock M550.
