Thought you were going bluestone?
Did you get to drive it?
My local dealer has same with the camouflage etc.
Stupid marketing gimmick.

I was going Bluestone (with Ivory) but I changed it for Med. Blue with Cognac. I reckoned everyone in Ireland will be ordering Bluestone (which isn't a kick in the arse of Space Grey) plus I wanted Cognac and it wouldn't go with Bluestone. What are you getting?

I saw an Alpine White M Sport with Blue leather last week... certainly can't see how that dark navy leather would suit any of the exterior colours in my opinion.... I reckon Carbon Black and Cognac will work well, but then it may what interior trim does one pick? Some of the BMW advance pics show Cognac with the Aluminium trim but I'd be more inclined to pair Cognac with a wood trim - but haven't seen any real life example of the option yet...

I'm biding my time until I get a decent trade in offer on my 530. The BMW contribution only works if registered before end of March, which I've obviously missed...so I am getting puzzled responses from dealers when I ask does that mean I'll have to pay 4 or 5 grand more if I decide now??? The market in Ireland has really turned in the last six months (to the disadvantage of those trying to get value on a private trade up)

More importantly, any word on a date when test drives will be available?

By the way, can you expand or clarify the comment on Bluestone versus Space Grey???

I wanted to go for Bluestone, but my wife insisted (we were together at a BMW dealership) that the only exterior colours that go with Cognac interior are black and white, not even carbon black. Thus I opted for alpine white and cognac interior. I have told myself to never go for a black colour again

The Alpine will definitely go well with the Cognac, but I reckon Med Blue will also.
Personally I don't think Bluestone would go with Cognac - though it would go well with Ivory.

Mediterranean blue is gorgeous.

I still maintain, however, that the ///M sport wheels look too luxurious and not sporty enough. The only option is to get the blacked out variant.

For cost reasons, I didn't opt for the 19'' Black wheels but I was informed by the dealership that they could spray my 18'' wheel black at a total cost of £280.00. Much cheaper than £1200.00 extra for the black wheel option

Did test drive the x drive one at the same garage Galway.
Not getting the same feeling I got when the f10 come out moving from the E60.
I find the m sport design on the soft side, the interior nice simply a copy of the 7 series, and to me more of mature lux design that fit best the 7 series.
Maybe time to move to a Grand coupe 6 series or 4 series.

Did the car you drove have VDC? If not, how was the ride quality?

It was an M sport, and if like the F10, the VDC is standard! you are referring to sport / comfort drive options.

VDC standard on F10? Was that for Ireland only?

VDC isn't standard in Ireland, nor was it on the F10. It costs €1,450.

VDC was not standard on the F10 and it isn't on the G30 either - it costs €1,450. The sport/comfort drive option isn't VDC. That simply changes the gearbox and steering response. VDC affects the dampers.

What's your view on it? Is it worth €1,450 or whatever the cost is in Norway?
