Weather is getting warmer and dry, so it was time to change from rubber mats to msport ones




Also fitted m5 style diffuser. I thought i'll need to upgrade the tips, but they look quite good IMO

Hey

The tips actually look great.

I have been though the mill trying to upgrade the tips on my 530d.
It seems that if you want quad tips you either need to spend a lot of money to get the ACS ones, or you need to pay an exhaust shop to remove your back box and replace the whole thing....

Yes, i had a quick look. There is a single center backbox on these with tips coming in at weird angles, you'll need an exhaust fabricator to sort that out properly.

Yours looks great though. So I am going to copy for the time being.

I've just ordered the diffuser from ebay and the tips from amazon.

Spacers, Springs and a surprise part ordered.. watch this space

Hi Guys, So a lot of goodies arrived, theyre all fitted and i managed to get a few rolling shots of the car!

To start of:

I fitted the 30mm Lowering springs from eibach, they were supposed to drop an MSprot car by 20mm, but i saw a 10mm drop at most so not very happy. Although the comfort is basically same as standard msport springs so that nice.

15mm spacers all around also fitted to space out the wheels

The secret part was a set of LCI taillights which im in love with.

I also treated her to fresh Liqui Moly Molygen 5W30

yes theyre just aliexpress add ons. they glue on, but dont use the tape that comes with it as it melts.

Spring cleaning last month

Having the f10 before with the same 2.0 diesel i though it be good to have a look at the intake manifold as flaps are known to go bad once clogged up.

80000kms and this was the state of the manifold:





And after cleaning:

From minor mods i have got the window trim wrapped in black and customised the idrive to show my car instead of a standard g30




I also fitted a thor active sound exhaust system, i know i know, half the people say its cheesy AF, but i had to fit it as i had a lot of questions from potential customers and i must say im impressed. Ill make a vid and post it when i get a chance

Don't worry about the exhaust system, it's nice. The iDrive change is sick!

It is really complicated, basically you need to hack into the QNX OS of the idrive system on bench via SSH and replace a file with a photoshopped PNG.

Not something even many professional coders/retro-fitters have managed as its a bit time consuming to learn.

Did you use the 9.5in width all around for the 706m wheels and 245/35/20 tires? Also, did you have to use spacers for the front or rear?
