J50 - do you have your order/build timeline posted somewhere? Edit: just searched, looks like late Sept? I'm about 5 weeks behind you then. Last edited by Beerflakes; 12-10-2020 at 06:24 PM.. |

Right?! This looks beautiful in this red. Im sure once I get my TBII I'll be in love, but god damn if this aventurine one doesn't make me question everything I've ever thought about red cars. @J50 Please post and share more pics unwrapped and in great light. Congrats and excited for you! And sorta super jealous of your paint choice. So beautiful |

I'm in NY too, and from what I've read you can fully legally do 70% tint, which lets 30% light through and not have any legal hassle. I'm likely going to do 70% ceramic on windshield and sunroof (for heat and UV/cancer reasons) and then 50% the rest of the way around. Dark enough for no fishbowl but light enough that I shouldn't attract a cops attention (I hope...)

Pulled the trigger, now I wait too! 2021 M550i Build
I've had 30% tints in NYC area for the past few years. Never been pulled over for the tints and when I did get pulled over for speeding they never mentioned the tints either. If you go 30 or higher you should not have any problems.
In regards to inspection as long as you know someone or can get referred to someone and you take care of them then your good to go. |

Was secretly hoping it was behind on the updates and I'd wake up to see it on a boat today. No such luck, but the needle moved a little bit.

Anyone seen a short stay at the port? Timelines I've seen seem to have our cars sitting around 2-3 weeks before boarding. I've been at port since the 15th at this point.
