Hello all

My 2018 540i's trunk stopped opening with remote, inside rocker switch and trunk touch button. I have checked the valet switch located in the glovebox and that's set to unlocked. Also My key fob battery is new and the car starts up just fine. I opened the trunk with the emergency handle and the trunk motor seems to run and the latch grabs and closes the trunk. When the trunk is open i can see the latch function when i press the key fob truck unlock button. I have checked the corresponding fuses and they're all good.

Has anyone run into this issue, or have any ideas what to try next? Thank you

BMW 51248737952 Spindle Drive, Right
this is official name of part which does power lift and power close. Mounted on R side attaches to vicinity of tail light and trunk hinge on R side. L side is spring loaded, R side spring loaded and power operated.
Access to is as you would fuse box in the trunk.
