The 3 subscriptions that I renew when they expire are map updates, RTTI and speed camera alerts

Well this is the first I have heard of this as a new to BMW owner. I am in the US and just recieved a notice that my Connected account would expire coming Dec.
What does it do?
How much does it cost?

I just renewed mine last month for $150. It includes things like automatic map updates and integration with the My BMW app. There are other things too but I've never used them.

Hm--I use Waze or Google maps for the most part and I do use my BMW app but not that much. Sooo??? $$??=benefits

I find it convenient because I frequently send destinations to my car through the app, then navigate there using the iDrive navigation. I also sometimes use the remote camera view or check on status through the app. But that's just personal preference, and I understand that others won't find it worth the annual fee.

Yes agree sending destinations is my default method of entering a destination, just so easy

I like the fact that the navigation looks consistent with everything else in the car, apple carplay just has what looks to me like a childish interface and jars with the rest of the car.
Tried it once and felt it didn’t offer anything that the bmw system didn’t offer.

The speed camera alerts are a good one and cheap in relation

Rtti has saved countless hours of being stuck in traffic and well worth it, been using that since 2013 on my cars

They claim that discount has been already applied.
The price is unchanged 69£ for connect drive on my x5.

Any idea when the next discounts is likely to be? Probably April
I lost my Carplay after a software update in Nov23. (long story below). Im weary of aftermarket coding whilst still under warranty. So even if i cant get 20% off (£265) will be nice

BMW only replaced the HeadUnit as there was heavy water ingress after BMW changed the windscreen before sale (to me). They kept saying Carplay wont let them read / update anything

It’s not really fair for 11/12 people whose subscription expire in other months of the year.
If your expire in November , then great you get a good deal every year, but for the rest of us…..

I've adjusted my renewal date which was May by waiting until November. Maps are not that regularly updated ( 2 last year) so i renew every other year in November.

Like you i get RTTI when it expires. Can't do without it down south. Can't move for cars
