BMS Stage 1 problem
I installed my BMS stage 1 in my '12 335i. The car idled fine for about a good 5 minutes. I drove the car and got a "CHASSIS STABILIZATION" warning. Below it said, "Drive moderately, consult nearest service center"... It went away but still... WTF??? I did remove the main negative battery terminal when I installed this. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Mine does it one time every-time I install/uninstall it. Seems normal.

Weird. If mine persists, I'll probably sell it and just go with Dinan. I got BMS because I thought it was cost effective. SMH.

I never had an issue like you described. I did, however have something similar when I installed Stage 2. It pulled up a random code that I can't remember what it was, but it didn't read as important. I cleared it and it never popped up again, even after uninstalling and reinstalling it. To note, I never started the car, just the power when it popped up.
I don't think it's an issue, just something that is happening when you disconnect the battery and installing it. If it never happens again, I wouldn't worry about it. |

This is why I am yet to install the jb1 since it doesn't auto clear codes, and surely some sort of code pops up when you get that error message that may lead the dealer to suspect it being tune related

My car already had the sudden loss of power a couple of times so I know i will be bringing it to the dealer soon to get that checked out, and can't risk them seeing anything at all in case something major fails. I think the stage 2 would be the way to go for me anyway if it auto clears the codes. |
