Hello all,

What is your opinion(s) with this particular G30 LCI clear taillights? I am interested due to its uniqueness, however I believe this is an aftermarket parts which I usually shy away from.

Really would like to see them in use… lit up. Also I feel it depends on color of vehicle. It does say plugnplay no coding. Wonder if that apples only to the 21+. They are certainly neat!

Just found out that bayoptiks.com in the US is selling the very same white (clear) LCI style taillights kit with free shipping! According to their website, the kit will fit 2017-present G30.

I think they look cheap and nasty. The 5 is a conservative and classy car, adding this does no it no favours

You are much more diplomatic than me! I sometimes too finish a total bashing with - "hey, it's your car and if you like it....."

Those things are trash on a BMW, but if he likes them that is all that matters (tongue in cheek).

My 23 M550i came with that style. I actually think the OEM version is sleek and modern. Blends in great to the rear deck lid. Sometimes, after-market lighting options look nothing like OEM versions.

That’s a standard LCI taillight. Are you referring to yours being sequential?

They are not sequential…just the style compared to pre LCI. I missed sequential in the thread title.

Yeah, this thread started out with someone looking for opinions on an aftermarket set that were clear and did funky things. You’re lights are factory OEM which most people prefer.

They actually don't look that bad, but at the same time, it doesn't look like a BMW anymore. If this car buzzed by me, my first reaction would be Honda as you see a lot of these aftermarket lights on Hondas.

It also clashes with the reflectors as they are red
At a glance it looks like a black and white photo but then the reflectors come to be noticed

Not going to lie. They look better installed than what I was expecting. Would be even better if they had a light smoke on them.

However, I'd LOVE to see these installed on a similarly gray car. It might look super slick if the taillights were basically the same color as the body paint. Might take on a sort "stealthy" effect ...or it could look like garbage.

Well, mine is dark graphite metallic. So, while, yes that's a sort of a gray, not exactly what I meant. lol

I was trying to photoshop it but because the car is black, I can't get the lights and darks to play right when I try to adjust the saturation and light levels. It just ends up looking all washed out.

It should be noted that I am not a photoshop expert, either. lol Actually, I'm using GIMP, anyway. Not even actual photoshop. (That sht is far too expensive and waaayyy beyond what I'd know what to do with.)
