The 2020 M550i is most assuredly the sweet spot though. Especially if you want to do a little upgrading (chip) on the engine. Did it have the 20" tires?

Gorgeous car congratulations!

I have a 2018 and I have been thinking about doing the M5 sway bars myself. Sounds like you like them!

What did you pay for the bars and what was install? You recommend the upgrade?

Can you feel a decrease in body roll in daily driving or only if you push it hard?

Thank you I believe i paid 350 for both plus 50 bucks shipping and 150 to install cars feels way more planted turn in is way better it grips the road so much better i think it is a awesome upgrade easiest way to explain it is the feel of steering where before it was numb and with alot of slop this tightens it up quite a bit and makes it more nimble and sturdy you feel it in everyday driving front bar was easy peasy rear bar is more challenging just a fyi

You and others have said really positive things about the M5 sway bar upgrade.. I found a nice set on ebay - have all the brackets, bushings, and end links. $450 shipped. Ordered them tonight! I will start looking for a place to install them and I will report back how the car handles once they are on.

I plan to keep my M550 about another 12-18 months, and then trade up to something else. I have no real complaints with the car other than I feel like the handling is numb and lacking. I’m hoping this mod refreshes the feel of he car until I upgrade.

Thanks again for the info!!

So I bought the sway bars and am awaiting them to show up. When I was looking at the photos of my bars I was curious if I need to order NEW brackets.

Here is a pic of the bar / endlinks I ordered. First pic is the bar that shipped to me.

It appears to have the large bushing that wraps AROUND the bar, but the BRACKET that holds the bar to the car was not included in my used bar. I”m wondering if the OEM bracket I have wil work or I need to get the F90 brackets? I’m guessing i need the OEM brackets as the overall bar and bushings must be larger?

For those who have done the mod - do I need the brackets before I can install this bar? It woudl be this part..see circled bracket in second photo. Or will the OEM brackets from my M550 work fine?.

Front brackets are the same i used the m550 ones rear brackets i used the m5 ones but my mechanic told me that you could of used the same brackets from the m550 the bar itself is thicker on the m5s but he said it was okay to use
