The police removed the iDrive screen and it's bezel and mounted it lovingly in the arm rest.

I purchased an MGU screen (I didn't realise my mistake at the time), which didn't work. I believe this is because it's APIX3 and the Basic Media unit isn't compatible.

I then purchased an EVO NBT HU which is currently being re-flashed to work with a Gxx chassis. It came out of an Fxx series (2018) - no GPS antenna. This has APIX2 on the display port.

I believe my issue is the cable. From what I've been able to dig up, the newer MGU screen will work on the EVO NBT HU but with some anomalies outside of car play. I'm OK with that. I'm only interested in using car play and seeing if I'm about to flatten next doors fence when reversing.

For the record, the above works at 1920x720 however maps and apple car play show at wrong resolution. Changed screen for pre-lci and works.

The scaling issues can be fixed. Done MGU 12.3 screen in nbtevo for G30.
