Someone else posted this in another forum and is what I used to to see that I have the RAM issue. It only showed up for me once my car left the factory. Assumption is it will get fixed once in the US. Hope this helps. |

"Dealer got back to me about defect code 0066640100. Says they have no info on "Retrofit PMA Control Unit" (shocker). After some lazy googling it looks to be something related to parking maneuvering assistant? Was anyone able to get the 3d parking assist / auto parking. I didn't even see it listed as an option to purchase when I was building the car in October."

A bunch of things are missing at BMW: Laser light, Apple car play, parking assist, RAM, pax seats with lumber support. I had a list of several items but I don't remember everything ...

Here I am thinking a car like this should have laser lights (which I've always wanted to drive and see in person) and it's that they deleted them. That blows

I have little update for I4, 430 customers, fresh from Detroit Saturday evening:
- Only ONE Chip factory seems to cause all these problems for every single US, European and Japonese manufacturer. it is quite unbelievable. - In July the Chip Factory was hit by a very sever covid wave, How the covid wave was handled by the company made the employees furious. But they restarted production in october with slave style overtime (Thus no manufacturer want to talk about how they got their chips in November) - In December 2021 and still last week the Chip facility was hit by flood rain - Around January 14th 2022 and February 2nd 2022 something happened (damage assement ?) in the factory but nobody have access to that information. Those are critical dates because manufacturers were advised that production was halted and won't restart soon. - There is no solution in sight for several months (no official date to restart the facility) - The chip shortage touches driver assist and entertainment systems mainly - Thus Ford is closing many plants next week (Feb 7th) in the US - GM removing some options and also stopping EV production (it was already slow) - Toyota issued new delivery delays again - I4 got 4 months production delay : instead of starting prod in March they will start in June somewhere - Many BMW 430 still sitting in Germany - Nissan Ariya is delayed to Fall 2022 - Ford's Econoline production is blooming ! I think I will adopt an IONIQ 5 Last edited by shulmann; 02-06-2022 at 10:42 AM.. Reason: new information |

This is why I settled and found a car that was built already instead of ordering. Mine had a RAM stop sales sat at Baltimore port for 22 days and then was released. Hoping u all get good results as well

Oh Crap!!
https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1897444 A new processing center opened today, this is where my precious Individual Manufaktur M550i will the processed and get the RAM module and PMA Control Unit installed. I am more than a little bothered by the prospect of these repairs being done by new employees in a new facility. |

Same people; new location. A "logistics facility purpose-built to accommodate this exact kind of business" sounds exactly like the place I want my car coming through.

I'm happy they're expanding the facility. However they aren't doubling capacity without new workers, "This new BMW distribution center will bring more jobs " "By significantly expanding their distribution efforts and creating even more jobs" I went through three expansions/relocations during my career. They all turned out great, but the initial period and accompanying new-hires always creates some initial turmoil and sub-optimal results for a while. I don't want that to affect my new car which will arrive there this month. |

I’ve got a 530i coming to Baltimore that is still at Bremerhaven and I was just told by my sales guy that there is a stop sale on mine. It’s has been sitting there since 23 January. Should I expect it not to ship since it is missing this part? Am I looking at months before ever seeing my car ?

My M550i has been at the port since 1/30.
Hopefully it will be on one of the ships headed to Baltimore this week. But will still need the two Stops cleared. |

Mine was completed on Jan 26 and has not even left the factory -- "Awaiting Carrier Assignment."
For the first time, MyBMW allowed me to add the car to MyGarage. Normally it comes back with an error. I kind of missed seeing it track along the status bar. |
