Hey guys,

Been reading and watching that there are common issues with n63 engine. Has anyone experienced any issues? Mine has 26k miles and nothing yet…

Feel free to share any data. The newer N63 has been much more problem free than the previous V8 engines that have graced the 5 series.

I believe the latest updates done to the engine has made it pretty solid. Best article I found to explain is here: https://bmwtuning.co/bmw-n63-vs-n63t...tu2-vs-n63tu3/

Thats good to know.. my friend has 2015 550 and i forgot what broke but it costs like 5k to fix… but it’s like a common problem. Hoping my 2021 never has issues like that. I want to keep this car forever.

N63TU2/3 are head and shoulders above the nonTU/TU versions of the engine. Not saying they're perfect, but they definitely solved a lot of the problems.
