I'm trying to also achieve the Sport display from Orange to Red but have a different set of options that show as selectable in non expert mode under sports display when connected via OBDLink CX but in Demo mode I can see the option as shown in your photo.

Hey, can you check the Angel Eye Brightness setting for 100% brightness at all times. Is there a menu like that? If so can you code it and tell me which parameter it changes (if you have Esys you can send me the before and after CAF files so I can find the difference)? I need to do it on my G30 but BimmerCode Android version doesn't have that option

hi!
In bimmercode, I remember there is a function called " Automatic Light Control" in light options. It can set the function of the headlight switch at position 0. But now it seems to disappear ! Can you find this function now in bimmercode? Thank you! |

No, you're just turning on and off features that are already there from the factory. You aren't adding anything that isn't OEM.
I've been coding using Bimmercode for years and I always have my BMW's serviced at the dealer. They know I code them, and they've never said anything about the warranty being voided. |

I was able to code extended sport displays to 07/2019 540i - to show boost, g-meter and engine oil temperature, but sadly, the g-meter and boost displays are not working.. still, the oil temperature is pretty cool!

Unfortunately tire temp and pressure only shows on iDrive screen on iD6. Nothing can be added on the instrument cluster on preLCI cars with iD6 (except line logos, digital speedo and changing it into Alpina theme or 330km in white sport colors). It is such a waste of a huge screen which can be customized for a better experience by adding map, album art, now playing info, etc etc.

Trimark:
Thanks for the detailed info on going into expert mode w/ Bimmercode. I just did this on my 2020 M550. For clarity, some of the options in expert mode were either "active" or "not active" while others have me, instead of "active", I had 2 other choices. I just clicked on whatever was directly above "not active". I love the additional info displayed on the 'Sport Display' screen. In the Head-up Display, what is the "M view" supposed to do? I can't get it to do anything. When I select "edit M view", the next screen is blank. In 'View in Instrument panel", what is the difference between "road", "sport", and "track"? I cant get anything to change here. When I select "sport" and select "widget selection, left" and "engine data", I don't see anything displayed. Am I missing something? Hi Oilandgas, I made the sport display coding change to my 2020 M550 and also like the new layout. But as expected, neither the boost pressure nor the g-forces are actually shown on the display. Since we both have ID7 Lite, just confirming that this is the same for you?
Since tuning software like Bootmod3 already changes the upper torque/hp value on the display, I wonder if they could be prevailed upon to provide at least the boost pressure value to the head unit for display. Last edited by WretchedRefuse; 03-24-2022 at 12:04 AM.. |

I sent a PM to Trimark to ask if he has gotten the g-force meter to work on the G30 (non-LCI). I hope he replies. |

Same for me. I understand that we may not have the necessary hardware for the g-force display in our iDrive 7 "Lite" cars, but the boost pressure should be readily available since the BM3 software can display it from the OBD2 port.
