Question for Tidal Users via Apple CarPlay

I got turned on to Tidal from a few members here and can't recall who.

I really am enjoying except for an issue with Albums. When I select and album I added, it just starts playing the first song. You would think it would bring you to a screen of album tracks to choose from like Spotify, Apple Music and Pandora.

Is this a bug or has it always been like this? This is close to a non-starter for me.

This is with Carplay right?

I tested a bunch of streaming services very thoroughly (month or more with each) with BMW's Carplay and Spotify was the one that had nearly zero issues. I have no idea why. Issues ranged from menus not being engaged, stuck, artwork not displaying, not connecting in Carplay but working in iDrive to poor audio quality, too much buffering, etc..

Spotify is hands down the best and it wasn't close.

I've had issues with streaming tidal through CarPlay so much so I stopped my monthly subscription and switched to iTunes. I suspect if your streaming high quality songs and don't have great service it screws everything up.

Yes, this is definitely true. I had this issue with Amazon HD Music as well. There is actually two layers to this - first being the actual data from your service provider and then how fast it can transmit via bluetooth/wifi. Spotify isn't perfect but it's the one with the least issues by far.

I'm not having any issues streaming anything. Lots of 5G in my parts. It's more the UI for Tidal.
