$15k cheaper than full fat and you miss out on metallic paint, sunroof, laser headlights, soft close doors, rear wheel steer and active roll bars. Makes the car about 80kg lighter. My car was a demo and i didn’t care about the options I missed out on, but it had metallic paint and sunroof optioned. Drive away I paid $128k including 3 years basic servicing which was $22k less than a new pure. The car had 265kms on it.

I'm in Aus and also have the Pure. Same as you, I didn't care about most of those options. Wouldn't have minded rear wheel steering and maybe laser headlights & better leather but not worth the extra dollars IMO.

I got mine brand new with metallic paint for under $130k drive away as well. Absolutely loving the car.

I've yet to see another one on the road either so they are pretty rare down here

This makes it clear thanks for the confirmation.

Looking up the spec this is basically what I ordered in the UK, i.e. no heavy options.
https://www.carexpert.com.au/bmw/5/2...e-lci-e2feb3b0

There's no way on Jb4 map 1 my car is making more than 600bhp and yet I find myself pulling out some decent 100-200 times and walking away from tuned RS7's and RS6's. If the car weighs 1826KG rather than 1900KG+ as I originally thought, that explains it.

I think you are right and the car is closer to 1800kgs.

I’ve never seen one either, I would have liked rear wheel steer as it’s not fun in tight car parks or drive through. I’ve scratch the front left wheel twice due to a turn I couldn’t make. So annoying, will need to get it fixed at some point.

I have to say that your M550i sounds Great but those tips installed for $300 is probably the best money spent on mods that I've seen (and over the years I've modded some cars)!

Those looks absolutely Incredible and make your M look just plain Nasty!

They did a Great job too, especially for only $300!

I'm not a fan of the pops or anything that draws unnecessary attention, but to each his own, I am sure it fits right in on The Shore, just kidding!

Your car looks very tastefully done and clean. The diffuser looks pretty good to me, but I am sure wherever it is off is like a magnet to your eyes.
Thanks. Yes, it is a magnet to my eyes - I will figure it out. Yeah, I went with the polished stainless because I figured if I'm going to do it I'd rather it not have it disappear and blend in with the new gloss black rear diffuser. pops and crackles.. I didn't like it at all until I heard a friends X3 M340 and M850 with the pops and crackles. I like the ability to turn it off completely in comfort or individual modes (stealth mode) In sport plus you hear it all!

As far as it lining up, I think it came out on point - see photo attached. I made them crazy making sure it all lined up right. You can't see from the photo here however there is a space between the pipes and the spaces are symmetrical from the left to right side.

Where did you get you diffuser? Would you mind leaving a link to avoid?

I've recently ordered these from Alibaba ( https://m.alibaba.com/product/622999...00000%22%7D%7D )
I will be receiving them in 2 weeks. Hopefully they're a better fit. I'll be doing a MPPSK on my 540i.

I ordered both the Magnaflow you have there as well as this one:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/31337199485...Cclp%3A2334524

The shop preferred the other one which I installed. I returned the unused Magnaflow. I am very happy with the sound this x-pipe makes along with the straight pipes. No complaints, no drone, love it.

Thanks for the response. I'm going to order one today. 3inch or 2.75inch? Seems folks on here have gone with both and either can work.
thanks again for the feedback.

Off of Ebay, they are everywhere. The install took me all of 30 minutes maximum.

Good call on the diffuser. I'm waiting on my Carbon Fiber diffuser, styled similarly - it should look sharp with my Dinan axle-back exhaust and mid-pipe.

Mind sharing a link?

I'm contemplating which diffuser to buy, as of now I'm leaning towards RW EC style.

I'm looking at the RW as well, and side skirts and front lip..I'd like a rear spoiler but don't want to take my stock one off..

Yea same here regarding skirts and front lip, with that said I'm looking to keep the front lip minimal and subtle. I'm looking at their performance CF lip without the side splitters, not a huge fan of the way they wrap around the bumper sides, doesn't go with the rest of the side profile. Something like this: https://jl-motoring.com/collections/...iber-front-lip
