My G30 540i has the base Bowers & Wilkins sound system which i'm about to swap for Harman Kardon. My intention is to just change the speakers and add an amp later. My question is where can i change the Audio option from B&W to Harman Kardon?

Base Bowers and Wilkins? Wut? The hierarchy from bottom to top is HiFi, HK, then B&W.

Thats what i thought, mine has H&K tweeters which i believe were installed by the previous owner. I have all the complete set of speakers which should largely be a plug and play install, it's just changing the option which i need to figure out. I have E-sys but appreciate Bimmer Utility is more recommended for the G platform so coding shouldn't be an issue - he says.......

You might want to do more homework. The B&W system is considered to be much better than the HK system. I have the HK system and think it's pretty bad.

With all due respect, are you sure you’re doing what you want? It seems like you have a lot of experience with difficult retrofits, are you actually intending to downgrade from the most premium system bmw offered, a $3500 option, to their mid-tier offering?

It should be in the HU. Check the differences in coding for Harman and Bower in the coding files
