Hi,
I have a MY2020 G30 M Sport with standard brakes.

Could anyone tell me if i purchased a brake upgrade kit, would there be additional things i require? I bought the car less than 2 years ago and don't want to change the brake discs. About 12000miles have been covered.

This is the kit i've been looking at but the requirements state i need wear sensor and discs. I can buy the wear sensor but need to know if i can run them on my current discs.

You need a new set of rotors/disks.
Only the rears are the same

When purchasing this kit you will need both front rotors and some brake fluid. You might want to paint the rear calipers the same color as well. The front rotors come in Left and Right sides and cost anywhere between $150-$250 each, depending on brand. You can purchase the "M" clip for the rear calipers as well.

How involved is it to paint the calipers? I would
really love to make mine a gloss black but can't find anyone who does it.

Any reputable body shop can paint them for you. I did one of mine a few years back that came with unpainted aluminum front calipers and unpainted cast iron rears. I believe I paid $350 to do all 4 corners. Probably a few more $ now.... Lol

Hmm. Maybe I have been looking in the wrong places. I've got a friend that owns a body shop and detailing shop. He did my ceramic coating for a deal. I'll ask him about it. Thanks for the tip!

You can paint them yourself. Buy some High Temp Caliper paint in any color at your local auto parts store or Amazon. It comes in a spray paint can, but buy some small disposable brushes and use those to apply the paint.

I'm just not that adventurous. I'd rather make it someone else's problem, for that kind of stuff. Plus it's worth it not to hear my wife's opinion of me doing it in our garage over a weekend.

What if I had just the calipers (not an upgrade kit), front and rear for the M sport brakes? Besides the rotors, are they direct bolt on? I see some of the kits have dust shields and replacement hardware (bolts, etc.)
