adaptive cruise control?

Hello fellas,

My brother is looking for a new 530i 2018, he wants the adaptive cruise control, but i can't seem to find it anywhere in packages or option or as standard feature. Anyone have any info about this?

Thanks in advance

When I purchased my 330e my CA searched the entire country and found six 330es with ACC (which I demanded). My dealership was able to buy one of them and have it trucked down to me.

Now I am replacing my 330e with a 530e. The big difference, as far as ACC goes, is that it is now part of the Driving Assistant Plus package. So I think it is actually a bit more prevalent than my earlier experience.

Search for 530is with the Driving assistant Plus Package.

ACC should be in Driving Assistant Package. At least that's the case in the UK. Driving Assistant Plus gives you all the other additional features to make the semi-autonomous.

In the US they are all in the plus package.

It is part of DA+ package, but dealerships should easily be able to tell you whether their inventory meets desired specs.

Mine does. I believe the loud pedal must be depressed for the car to start going again. I hit the gas to get going as I haven't been patient enough to see if the car starts back up. I do have the distance set to the minimum.

Yes it’s stop and go but you more than often have to press the gas pedal or push the res button to get it to move off again

The LCI improves on that with no requirement to do that although you may be prompted to touch the steering wheel

Om the LCI, you only have to press the gas pedal if you activated ACC from a stop. Otherwise, it will go even when you're not holding the steering wheel, but it will warn you soon thereafter to touch it.

Yup, Drivers Assistance Package. ACC is a must, non-starter for a car without it.
