Hey all,

I'm curious if anyone knows when 2021 5 series will hit dealerships in their area? I called a few dealerships around me in the San Francisco area and none of them knew. One dealer mentioned that it was supposed to be July but things have been delayed due to the pandemic.

As long as there's no monroney hold, first cars should arrive to East coast dealers very end July thru second week August. End July unlikely but possible if transit/ship timing worked out...

I'd imagine September or October they'll start showing up. Definitely no later than November.

Start of Production is in July and priority is given to customer ordered cars then they'll start to work on dealer allocation cars. It takes roughly 60 days for a car to be ordered, built, and delivered.

My 2021 M550 (built the first week of July) is on the ship now getting ready to dock in Baltimore tonight, so they are just starting to work their way across the Atlantic.

Also, I drove by my local dealer's lot the other day and its looking pretty sparse as they work to sell the remaining 2020s. I'm thinking mid-August and later at best on the east coast for any kind of inventory to look through, probably September/October for the West coast.

BMW has been prioritizing on the customer sold orders they had in the hopper prior to the pandemic shutdown before building cars for inventory.

I just saw a BMW dealer website in Indiana that shows an incoming M550 by mid August. May have been a priority 1 customer order that someone backed out of.

Right on.....first advertising of available MY21 5 series showing up today in the Midwest.

The Horizon Highway docked at Charleston, SC today.

It's just crossed the Atlantic from Bremerhaven and should have quite a few MY 2021 cars on board.
