Code position 0 for DRL only?

Hi, I would like to have Daytime Running Lights only when I will put lights switch to position 0. Currently, position 0 turn on full lights.

Can anyone provide me with a hint for what I should look in bimmercode’s expert mode? Thank you

Code is in BDC_body.

There are two of interest. One allows HBA in position A and 2. Another allows determines whether low beams are on in position 0.

If you allow HBA in position 2 then does it only comes on when you press the button on the turn signal column like in A?

So basically position 2 would be:
Low beams
High beams (push turn signal column forward)
HBA (press button on column)
Is that right?

Which country are you in?
Are you seeing this behaviour ina garage or other dark environment?( in the uk the main beams will turn on regardless with the light switch set to 0 if it senses it is dark outside)

I’m in the Czech Republic. I did some testing in different light conditions and position 0 is exactly the same as position A. So I wrote wrong information in my first post.

Anyway, in my previous BMW, I was used to day lights only (angel eyes) when position was at 0, regardless the light outside. It was day lights only, even during the night.

I would like to have the same behaviour in my G30. Will try to play with coding soon.

Search BDC Body for FLC. If you cannot find, I can look up exact FDL.

So you're saying that on '0' position at night, the headlamp turns all the light? (Lowbeam and the angel eyes)

That is the way it works for some European and Asian regions.

Presumably to prevent people from driving at night with just Drls on and no tail lights.

@AP - you are probably right (although by this setting we are forced to have it in Europe )

I still hope that someone will find the way to have tail lights ON with DRL

Yeh I think that was a rule implemented around February 2011 to supposedly save fuel. The early f10s had them.

I think either that rule has been relaxed or car companies are ignoring as I've seen jags, volvos, Peugeot's with tail lights on in the UK.

There's a video on YouTube of a guy doing that in the US. Of course his is a 3-series though.

It is less about saving fuel and preventing individuals from running DRL's at night.

i believe to activate rear DRL, go to REM module, and change these 4 parameters.

Inner part of the LED bar:
on 3062 section
L: MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H2_L_OUTPUT to be sl_2_l
R: MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H2_R_OUTPUT to be sl_2_r

Outer Part of the LED bar:
L: MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H_L_OUTPUT to be sl_l
R: MAPPING_TAGFAHRL_H_R_OUTPUT to be ls_r

REM is a module found in F20/F3x/F8x. It is not in G30 or other chassis.

I would like to have back tail LED lights on in Auto switch position during the day (with front DRL on of course) and when becoming dark automatically switched to the standard mode as expected/ required
Is is strange it is not possible now - in previous car (A6) it was pretty easy change and looked cool
