I recently got a quote for the service plan Sytner offer on used BMWs. I've had the car for 8 weeks now and the next service isn't due for another 5k or so.

Does anyone have it or think its worth it?

I'm in 2 minds as I don't think i'll do the intended mileage with the pandemic in full flow. I don't want to commit to payments and then not be able to use the services as time has past etc...

My thoughts are to just pay for the next service which will be £652 (approx) as its oil, filters, spark plugs etc.

The difference is around £360 more if don't go with the plan and just service as and when needed.

That is the cost of the service plan, i opted for the plan as it allowed me to split the cost over the term abs not be hit with a single large bill.
I think the overall saving is around £150.

I do like the idea of spreading the cost every the months to come.... the only thing putting me off is, that i'll be paying for something that I won't get the benefit from as I won't be doing the mileage.

I'll need to find out from Sytner to see if the end of the plan has a fixed date or not.

Just spoke to Sytner, they said that the plan is valid until I use all the service mentioned.

That is much more appealing now and they are sending through a revised quote

Looks a good deal to me. I have a similar one without the extras. Mine was a good deal via our local dealer too. You are also protected against inflationary prices on servicing. Mine too is independent of the time . You are paying in advance for the service. The air filter alone is about £150.
Check what happens to the deal if you sell or it's written off. Can you transfer?

Just found out that it is transferable to another car, providing its purchased from a Sytner dealer.

Just paid £225 now and then will pay £25 for 27 months.

Yeah. I plan to transfer mine as I I'll not do the mileage either. Probably the only benefit of Covid, as it allowed me to drop the PCP down.

I enquired about the service plan last week for my 540i xdrive. I was quoted pretty much the same figures but based on 12k miles a year, so my £25 a month is over 19 months, as I guess that's when i'll reach the service intervals?.
The service plan only really covers the first two services though, the first oil change and the bigger service in the 2nd year? Once I get to Sept 2022 I'm assuming they'll offer me another deal?
