I've got my new tyres Pirelli P zero with BMW * (20 inches) fitted 1000 miles ago and they have all 6mm thread now. I guess they have around 8mm when new.
Is it not too fast?

What's your experience with these tyres?

Pirelli's have to be the worst and most overrated tire company on the market. They wear fast and ride like shit. The only thing worse than a Pirelli is a run flat Pirelli. Do yourself a favor and go with Michelins.

Joe's right, Pirellis are quite over rated and expensive mostly for what they are.
But I'm gonna have to disagree on their sottozero 3 winters. They've been the best RFT winters I've used so far.
This is my first winter with them in Toronto and have put about 7000kms(4000miles) on them. My fronts are 7.9mm and rears are over 8mm still.
My winters are 19" in my case so I get a better ride quality than the all season 20"s.

Yup, I agree, I would exclude their Winter Snow tires from my rant as well. Had them on my E39 and the things just never wore out.

That said, when you run snows, no one focuses on the ride or road noise. They do the job and you just count down the days to take them off!

But their daily driver tires leave a lot to be desired. Very loud as well.
