From my reading, all G30's will have the LCD/LED dash (if you mean speedo/RPM etc.) the only exception possibly being the 520d SE...

Only the circular, outer border of the gauges are physical plastic extrusions that stand out from the screen

I see, I missed that on the pictures in this post. By 'all new' I presume you mean 'newer than the F10 as far as 5 series are concerned' ? My F10 has it next to the Hazard light switch

And the button you show appears to only lock a single door, not all doors and the rear boot.

So what about the button next to the hazard button in the FIRST picture in this thread... it has a lock on it which implies central locking... only the M Sport trim does not have this button...

Thanks
The center button next to the hazards are for the driver assist features around the car I believe.

You can turn on and off or adjust the follow distance and how far away does the collision avoidance kick in.

IIRC. Lol

Thanks, it does make sense. So I can only assume then that the side door lock switches are central locking for the whole car, and the front passenger can do the same... so two central locking buttons of all doors....

The F10 is not "new" since it stopped production last year and its design goes back many years

Newer models like the G30, G11 and F48 have the new button.
It opens or locks everything, just like the old single button

Not true in the UK. Dealers have all sorts of neat interiors to crawl over.

Huge bummer that Cognac can only be had with the cold and teutonic Dakota leather.

I wish it were offered in Nappa with that fabulous diamond stitching.
