This seems to be the US press release, they don't offer diesels there anymore (nor the touring). There will be diesels in other markets, of course.

They upgraded the screen to 12 inches from the previous 10. Other than that nothing appears to have changed.

Damn, as separate, these upgrades are good. But seeing the whole car there is something off about it. Definitely seems like there was some asian influence maybe? 3/4 rear view defo looks Hyundai.

Also, the 530i power figures are laughable!! On a car that heavy? That must not feel very sporty to drive.

Yup - I'm struggling with the current generation of tail lights across the G series. I'm hoping the LCI for the G30/G80 will be much improved!

I'm not in the market for one but I like it. Elegant, restrained, purposeful - classic 5 series attributes.

They didn't ruin it with a stupidly oversized grille. Maybe they knew that the core markets in which it sells the most wouldn't have tolerated the change - unlike the 7 series LCI, whose front end looks nothing short of ludicrous, to my eyes.

The 5 presentation at https://www.live.bmwgroup.com/en/live-streaming/ mentiones Android Auto from around 14:15 and he says "one new feature is the display of smartphone navigation apps in the instrument cluster and the head-up display".

Full integration like that would be a huge step toward the elimination of OEM nav systems. I'm pretty much using CarPlay exclusively in my iD7 X4, but am still pulled to the iDrive's nav only because of its integration into the IP and HUD.

Wow. Thank you it seems so. Test drive and reviews would eventually confirm it

Really not a fan of the front lights, the lights are a copy of the Jag XJ facelift in my opinion:

Rear lights look like lipstick

European (or wordlwide maybe) press release differs a bit in the details.
Especially around what's standard and not.
So for those like me in the EU or simply outside the US or NA markets please see here:

I'm indifferent to the look, wish they upgrade the engine on 530/540 though and do a bit more with the mild hybrid (like E53)

What is the point of the Executive package now? There is no laser light upgrade, as lighting package looks like it is standard on all models now, if I am reading it correctly? Will this not get the laser lights?

Interior really does not get many new features/options. Surprised the B&W sound system is only an option in 550 now.

Really think BMW is making a mistake getting rid of Angel Eyes. Such a distinctive feature and now the headlights look like every other car. Car still looks nice though.

Wonder what BMW will do on incentives if ordering now, since you have not been able to order a 2020 for a while.

I'm really not a fan of the headlights, where has that design come from all of a sudden? I know perhaps people find the old angel eyes outdated (i dont especially comparing against what else is on the road these days) but they could have at least done an evolution of the angel eye design rather than scrapping them altogether. The icons still looked pretty fresh to me imo but hey ho

Drive one. Surprisingly quick. After all it is a 0-60 car in 5.8-6 secs range.

Still can’t decide if I like the outside changes or not. Love the Tanzanite Blue color though. Was hoping for more interior changes, nothing major of course, but small refinements.

I love this gen of the 5-series. Still looks like a bimmer and I'm assuming it drives on rails. Hate the front lights though.

On another note, I'm so confused. Why are there still GT cars and why is it in the 6-series column? I guess they have to put the bastard stepchild somewhere but it just seems odd.

Meh- the front end lost some passion in the design language. Headlights are Audi/ VW-esque. Bumper on the M sport reminds me of what a modern Ford Taurus might look like. I prefer the pre- LCI by far judging from the pictures. I may have a different opinion once I see it in real life.

I do prefer the newer taillights and the interior looks great.

You should be able to build one on your own countries website. The U.K. on is updated ( although not all models seem to be there right at this moment).

Notable for the U.K. is the 550 which is back. Last seen on the F10 ( although as rare as rocking horse s***)

Actually the G32 GT is a pretty good car and would argue the best GT rendition of them all. Fantastic rear seat legroom and cavernous trunk.

But didn't find a steady audience with US buyers hence BMWUSA stopped importing it for MY2020. Still widely available in overseas markets though.
