Thanks! I don't think so. I think the CF contrasts the solid black gloss diffuser nicely. It's not like the OEM spoiler was cerium. We'll see, maybe someday I'll swap out the cerium gray pieces for gloss black. I personally don't think because the spoiler is CF that everything needs to be CF.

Living with it for a day+ now and I think I'll keep it. I honestly wasn't sure at first. A little before and afters, same shots. Just need the tips to complete the transformation.

Agreed, that does look great!

I'm planning on getting mine colour coded to Med blue before i install it, Sam, will give you a heads up once its done so you can compare.

I guess part of my motivation or philosophy on upgrading or moding to to never put something on the car that BMW didn't offer. At least that is what I try to do with a few exceptions. At the same time, I try to buy the actual piece at hand from BMW. In this case, the price difference was well over $1,000. To the best of my knowledge, the M5 CS does not come with a body colored spoiler, it is CF, so I kind of wanted to stay with the OEM look. I am definitely not concerned that my diffuser is gloss black, I think they look nice together and after really looking over the car yesterday, I kind of feel like the Cerium gray (which is completely on the other end of the car) actually matched the CF. It's not like it is chrome, it's more like gun metal gray. The other thing is, if we are worried about "matching", the 668M's are pretty much Cerium gray and I ain't getting rid of those!!.

Anyway, just an alternative perspective. If over time I do feel like something is out of place, I will swap out the Cerium trim and mirror caps, but so far, I think I am good with the look.

Looks awesome. As i stated earlier I used the 3m wheel. I like how the CF looks with the blue. Great choice.

Yep and thank you for that! I was definitely overly concerned with doing damage with it. The package says don't exceed 2500 rpm, I used my small drill that maxes out at 550 rpm, so no issue with me getting too aggressive. I basically used it to take off all the thick stuff and then was left with a film of adhesive residue. Goo Gone took care of that.

I think this looks great. I like the size of the spoiler, agree the one that comes with the 550 is too small but you don't want to go too big either. I definitely will strongly consider the RW carbon CS one once my 540 arrives.

What rear diffuser is that? Thinking I may want to swap the standard one out as well. Did you just paint the original gloss black and add the bottom piece? Or did you replace the full bumper?

In checking iND's site (I live close to there so I may just use them for parts and install) they have 2 different options for OEM diffuser upgrades.

Thanks! The diffuser is off eBay and got many good reviews here so I said what the hell, for under $200 bucks I'll give it a shot. I'm very pleased with it. Fits perfectly and good quality. Usually these eBay specials come with a blemish or two we just live with. Not this one. This replaces the stock diffuser completely. One piece easy install.

Cant wait to see the Dinan installed. Hopefully you get the axle back soon.

I'm going to start my mods this Spring/Summer. Definitely LCI tails, probably the easy to install knockoffs. Then difuser, intake, CF spoiler, removing closest resonator to muffler (sound check), then possibly cutting the other off as well.
Probably a piggy back tune somewhere in there too......zoom,zoom...

Nice! It's fun knocking mods off the list. Pretty sure the Dinan exhaust will be installed the week after next. Final piece (axle back) should be shipping tomorrow.

Awesome! Please do a garage cold start before/after video. It would be nice to hear the difference in a controlled environment.

Oh I literally had a tripod delivered to start with the before videos. I was going ask my GF to video, but it's not worth the eye rolls.

I'm going to do:
- Cold Start Stock
- Comfort Rev stock
- Sport + Rev Stock
- Drive off Comfort
- Drive off Sport +

Then do all these with the exhaust installed. Probably do a few with the remote opening the valve on comfort.

Joe-BMW33 does your CS spoiler have a gap on the back bottom? I cannot tell from the picture but mine does. I might have done a poor job installing as at the back of the trunk the CS has a gap between the spoiler and trunk.
